Amazingly, although just 3 points behind us, Altrincham have a goal difference that is 19 points south of us suggesting a poor points return for our efforts. It looks like that we will be travelling up there without the services of Bowman who has a chest complaint. Maybe, that will see Ajala retain his place in the hole with Ofori-Acheampong being the target? Our last away win was against Barnet 2 months ago and we are going to need a few if we are to challenge for the play offs.
Altrincham, a bit like us are an up and down side and in the last four games have achieved a comfortable double over Chester, won 0-2 at Eastleigh but also lost 0-1 at home to hand Nuneaton their first away win of the season! Danger man to watch is Damien Reeve who is anything but inconsistent with 13 goals so far and almost won a contract with Doncaster a few years back.
Maybe the winner of this one will come down to which team is on their game!

I wonder what the league table will look like at tea time tomorrow with Lincoln (2 games in hand) playing lowly Aldershot. Gateshead (3 games) and Dover (2 games) playing Nuneaton 23rd and Dartford 22nd . Wrexham who have four games in hand are also at bottom club Telford.
Reckon we need a result or the table could look a bit sad.
Defeat could see us drop three places while a win could only see us move up one place.
So who will be in for Bowman?
A choice of three in Oforie, Briscoe or Yeoman.
Fancy Hargreaves will go with Yeoman though I would prefer the experience of Briscoe but who knows?

Yep, my recurring theme has been the distorted position we are currently in.
If the teams in the play off positions take max points from their GIH, we will be 11 points off the PO places. Of the 8 clubs directly below the PO places, 6 have games in hand, the winning of which would take them all above us.
Be that as it may, without worrying about what they are doing, we just need to win one game at a time in the same manner that Bristol Rovers have. A win on Saturday would certainly be a good first step.

Now confirmed - Ofori-Acheampong in for Bowman but otherwise unchanged from last Saturday!

Playing reasonably well but then hit by a soft goal. Sound familiar? Simply have to turn this game around if our slim play off ambitions are not to perish.
Personally id introduce Briscoe sharpish...come on lads, get into them second half.
