If results conspire against us this weekend, we could be officially relegated. But a defeat here would probably all but confirm it anyway. If there is a glimmer of hope, it is that Rovers' form has been pretty woeful of late, with just 2 wins in their last 10 matches, one of which (against Morecambe) coming in the last minute. This had been Darrell Clarke's first game as manager; the former assistant, and former Salisbury City manager, had replaced John Ward, who has moved into the director of football role. This will be Clarke's fourth game in charge
Line-up vs Wimbledon:
Gk Steve Mildenhall Def Michael Smith Def Tom Parkes Def Lee Brown Def Mark McChrystal Def Tom Lockyer Mid Ollie Clarke Mid Seanan Clucas Mid John-Joe O'Toole For Matt Harrold For Kaid Mohamed
Subs: Conor Gough (Gk), Pat Keary (Def), Alefe Santos (Mid), David Clarkson (For), Steven Gillespie (For), Ellis Harrison (For), Chris Beardsley (For)
Head-to-head:
Bristol Rovers wins - 34 Torquay wins - 22 Draws - 19
Last match: Torquay 1-1 Bristol Rov (Marquis pen 6; Harrold 27), League Two, December 2013
Last match at the Mem: Bristol Rov 3-2 Torquay (Eaves 15, 76; Lund 17; Howe 53; Downes 59), League Two, October 2012
Last Torquay win at the Mem: Bristol Rov 1-2 Torquay (Atieno 11; Howe pen 15; Anthony 56), League Two, August 2011

Somewhat poignant that we are playing Bristol Rovers the week after Geoff from the Union died.

any bets kaid mohamed scores the winner?the game is more important for the gasheads as they still could go down with our paltry lot,but i reckon they have enough guts, and quality to stay up unlike us,easy 3 0 win for them without playing that well

I'll go for my usual. It would be typical of us to dominate the game, fail to score, let in a sloppy goal and lose 1-0.

With a bit of luck, should be able to get to this one: must be due a goal or two by now.... What staying power! It's South West Peninsula League Premier for me today. Top of the table Ivybridge Town versus fourth in the table Witheridge. Will avoid all contact with the outside World and enjoy a proper game of football; Next week. Point to Point at the beautiful Flete Estate. Avoid all contact with the outside World and pretend the football season is over. Pretend? It is!!; The week after. The annual Tuckers Maltings Beer Festival at Newton Abbot. No need to deliberately avoid all contact with the outside World - it just happens at the beer festival!; The week after. Back to Flete and another point to point on the Bank Holiday weekend - Pimms and cucumber sandwiches from the hamper whilst basking in the glorious South Hams weather with the scenery becoming ever more beautiful as the day progresses and the liquid intake takes affect. Is that enough weeks to see the season out?

For once, a local game for me, in fact I can walk to the match today! Can't help feeling like we're off to witness the last rites. Would be nice just to see a goal, surely not another 1-0 defeat???!?

Just about to watch some Conference Football - Luton v Braintree - I understand that if the Hatters win they get promoted........nice.

In the Luton team to day is Alex Lawless, ex Gull from the 2005/6 season. He's been in blistering form for Luton over the past few years; unfortunately has just been subbed on 13 mins due to injury. At 2-0 down after 20 minutes, it looks like the promotion party might have to go on hold for a week, although Luton have come back from more than two goals down and won this season.
