I don't think it had been mentioned before. At least its two months before Setanta are back viewing us again!

By then we could well be top and dare I say, have a nice lead? one would hope that what ever the problem our players seem to have, playing in front of TV camera's, that by then, they find a way to over come it.

It might be tempting fate but IF we get to the FA Cup 3rd Round our important away game at Burton will be resheduled. I'm sure Setanta would want to show that one too.

Another plum Saturday game gone down the swanny. Like last year when we were due to play Burton and pull in a near 4000 crowd we get moved to a Monday so soon after New Year and get our lowest gate at that point in the season. Lets hope we get a good cup run and throw our lead at Old Trafford so we get a replay and then get our Saturday back. ;D ;D www.wrexhamafc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10311~1454971,00.html

Well according to figures I have read elsewhere, we have already received more money this season (£36,000) from Setanta than any other club in the BSP. York come next with £23,000..............a long way behind us. Newcomers Wrexham (£10,000) and Mansfield (£6,000) are a long way behind too. It's only natural that Setanta will want to screen the games that are easiest to sell to potential advertisers, so get used to it; we've been extensively covered throughout our BSP existence and as the Football League haven't any interest at all in procuring a deal for lower league clubs, should we be successful and get the promotion we all so badly seem to want; it will be a return to relative media obscurity next season - remember the excellent NLP as well. I just wish the serial whingers would just try to see the "Glass Half Full" side of the equation for once and give credit to the BSP for at least being positive and productive on behalf of their clubs unlike the Football League who appear not to give a toss about the lower division members. An ideal world for me would be for the Football League to agree a deal similar to the BSP one in time for next season on behalf of the lower leagues. For God's sake THINK POSITIVE!

I've heard that in future seasons (maybe even next season) the BBC have struck a deal with the Football League, which allows them to show live Football League games on their channels. So even one or two games a season from them would probably get more money than Setanta over a season! I don't know for sure if this is true, but I heard it a while ago.

Nick, not sure why the BBC would want to cover any games from Div 2, such games would never have a large viewing and it would have to fund it by using license payers money.
Do we know that Setanta really want to cover the BSP?, I ask only because they took over the Prem games that were covered by the Sky season ticket. Sky also covered the BSP at that time, so did Setanta have to take on the BSP games so they could get the games that were on the Sky season ticket?

Hey I have no problem with Setanta and their coverage of the BSP this last 2 seasons. It's just the fact that we lose a very appealing saturday afternoon match to the camera's again. It's not very often we grt the chance of an old school Saturday against an old league rival and whilst the club are now compensated adequateley this year it does take away from the pre match atmoshpere of a saturday rather than a Thursday night. But on the flip side you exiles will still get the benefits
