Buckland play the biggest game in their very short history on Sat 22nd Sept, against Blue square south Bath city in the FA Cup 3 rounds from the 1st round proper.
Its a great shame that the other yellows are at home on Sat as we have picked up quite a few Torquay fans this season,
Should be a great day for everyone connected to Buckland Athletic.

It's a shame that Torquay are home the day Buckland play Bath City for what must be one of the most attractive FA Cup games ever played in South Devon away from Plainmoor. Remember that Bath City were in the Conference National last year and have provided opposition for Torquay United in recent years.
I'm just catching up on the Buckland news in the Herald Express that Wildebeeste brought back from South Devon (there may be a time when we need to discuss some sort of postal subscription system). Pleased to see it says "additional reporting courtesy of Amy Alford". My hope is for a good FA Vase run for Buckland so I can catch them in the north or the midlands. Up to now they've not really enjoyed much fun in the Vase but I'm sure they will do soon. They'll love it.

Barton,
Amy has been writing reports in the Bucks review and the Herald asked if they could use it in the Thursday edition. She also is an administrator on the Buckland web site and all first team games match reports and pictures are all her own work.
We are still in the FA vase after beating Porthleven 7-1 on Saturday, and have drawn Saltash in the next round on the 13th october away. The only problem we have is that being in the fa competitions we are falling behind in our league programme.only playing 3 league games.

Its a real shame that there is a clash with Torquay as im sure many would have gone along. In saying that i reckon there will be around 400 odd, Bath will bring a coach load or so i would imagine.
Even if this is one round too many at least Bucks have been raking in the money through winning cup ties. Must be over 5k by now.
Good luck to you all and hope its a great day.

Buckland put up a brave fight but went out to Blue square Bath city 2-1. The yellows actually took the lead early in the second half through a fine strike from Gavin Hammon. Buckland held the lead for 7 minutes but 2 goals a fine strike from 30 yards and a well placed header put the romans in the hat on Monday . All in all a great day, with 369 watching . all the players did the club proud with Bath well impressed with what we have done at Homers.
