So, the inaugural month for this new honour and despite calls of foul play, I don't think there are any surprises in the winner! ;D I must admit that when Nick said he was moving up North, I thought we would be hearing less from him but the reverse has proved to be true. I think this forum is unusual for a football site and while not everyone's cup of tea there are scores of excellent and interesting threads ranging from breakfasts, cream teas and music to a whole myriad of topics in the history and programme rooms. However, what had declined until recently was the picture thread and with his change of location together with Mr Wildebeest now on board this genre has been well and truly revitalised! So many congratulations to Barts on being top dog this month and he is certainly no stranger to being in yellow. The change in this award means that you are more likely to win from a series of posts as opposed to just one so I have just highlighted the start of the Sheffield thread! Rick, you might like these. Several are from a piece of land called Skye Edge. Remember the Hallam Tower Hotel? I better take some around the Don Valley stadium for the benefit of Jon and Chelston. They have such fond memories. i447.photobucket.com/albums/qq191/nickh_album/sheff1.jpg[/img]
Well, I'm honoured. And, with so many recent references to the fair county of Derbyshire, it's probably fitting that I learned the news on platform 5 of Derby station.
The 1040 to Longport, near Stoke-on-Trent, has left on time....

I noticed on our profiles it was still showing as poster of the week score. I have now gone into the forum coding and changed that to best poster of the month score.
