Where is this ground? The answer for the Beach was HIVE BEACH at Burton Bradstock. I know its not, but with those hills in the background it looks like Bickleys ground. I gather its a ground in Devon?

Now we've managed to pin down the last picture as somewhere in Derbyshire, how about these two? Neither is in Derbyshire. Nor Devon.

You are not wrong, sir. The redness of the football ground reveals it to be that of Sheffield United. Have we not met there? The hills in the background are Yorkshire's rather than Derbyshire's I believe. As for the other pitch, any more detail anyone?

Suspect the flats are Hyde Park or Park Hill which I believe are now listed buildings and form an imposing wall on the hillside above Sheffield station. There were, when I was living in the city, similar flats at Kelvin (?) on the way to Hillsborough but they may well have gone by now.
How is the Steel City these days, Nick?

Sorry Dave, but I think this one is in Derbyshire. Well no chance of me knowing what ground it is then I hope Nick does not mind, but as these posts are about football grounds, I have moved them to a new thread in the Ground Reviews & The TU92 Club

And how about this one? A clue: it suddenly became much more difficult to get here during the 1984/5 season. PS How do you clever folk get your photos directly onto this forum? Could someone give me a quick tutorial, please? PPS Kelvin Flats became flat themselves long ago but Hyde Park is, indeed, now listed. PPPS Are you going to tell everyone whereabouts in Derbyshire you took the pictures, Barton? He gathers a confused Peak District village, if that helps.

Hi wildebeeste I have done it for you. All you need to do is copy the DIRECT LINK in photo bucket and when in the post window click on the image tag ( the forth one on the bottom row the red tube being the first one) and paste the link in the middle of the two image tags you will then see in the post window.
When you upload to photo bucket can you please select the 800 x 600 size as any larger stretches out the forum. I have re hosted your image on my photo bucket to get it the correct size.
If you click modify on your post, you will see how the image tags look many thanks

Greetings from Crookes, Rick! I knew you'd be well-informed about Sheffield housing. I too remembered the Kelvin flats which as Wildebeeste says, are long gone. The pitch is actually inside the portion of Park Hill which lays derelict. The lower part is being Urban Splashed: Current view of Hyde Park:

Here's the answer to the mystery. No, I've not seen a game there but just happened to be passing: And here, roughly speaking, is the view from the rocks you can see looming above the pitch at Hathersage. For James's reference this is looking towards the Hope Valley:

Thanks for the tutorial, Dave. I'm still too computer-thick to get the hang of it but will keep trying.

And how about this one? A clue: it suddenly became much more difficult to get here during the 1984/5 season. I'm assuming a former mining community in Derbyshire. Possibly South Yorkshire. But not Nottinghamshire?
