Does anyone know if Setanta have selected their live games up until and beyond Christmas? Are we just not affected?? I'd be surprised if our excellent recent run had gone unnoticed at Setanta Towers and we have some tasty (in Blue Square terms!) games coming up in the next six weeks against other contenders Cambridge, Histon and Kiddie. You also have the Christmas derbies against Weymouth, which they found attractive last season.
I have checked the Setanta website and they don't seem to list upcoming live BSP games in the same way that they do the Premiership and Scottish games. Are they listed anywhere?? As a exile I gain a lot from their coverage - I just wish that they would pick their games a little earlier so I can amend any travel bookings. Not really wishing to open up the same old Setanta good / Setanta bad debate, but is it merely a coincidence that our best run of results in this league has come at a time when we have been bothered least by the TV coverage?
Thanks

We don't feature in those they have listed. 4 games, including NYD Histon v Cambridge, are all they have to offer, it seems.

Here is the answer to your question. www.torquayunited.com/page/News/0,,10445~1452651,00.html Looks like Setanta have added a few more games now. I hope they have fallen out of love with us after many a poor preformance on the box of late

I know that talking about Setanta, has often lead to some heated debate, I think they do a first class job covering the matches they do.
While Its great to be able to watch some Of the away games, say on a Thursday night and ones that even those who do love to travel to away games, might not be able to get too, I feel that as we often play poorly In front Of the camera's, I'm happy If we do not get that many games anymore.

I was thinking the other day about why Torquay and some other teams (Oxford are a good example) don't play well on Setanta. Now we can't be nervous infront of the cameras as we anhiilated Yeovil on the BBC last season. I then came up with the thought that it might be because before live matches on Setanta, they go in the club changing rooms. I know its only a small thing, but it could attract attention from the players who then go out on the field and don't play to the teamtalk Buckle said in the changing room due to them not being fully focused on PB. I doubt it is this, it's just this seemed one of the only slightly realistic suggestions I could come up with for our poor Setanta record!

People were blaming Westward Television for poor form over forty years ago. It's an age old "urban myth" at ninety nine per cent of clubs. People are people and people see what they choose to see. Some swear if the team play the "other way" first half they always lose, some think it's as simple as a seagull shitting on the pitch...............mind you I'd just love it if Gilbert were to do that in front of the away fans! The only possible "reason" could be a lack of focus or an element of distraction on the part of some individual players. Mind you how would they get on at Arsenal where even Reserve and Academy get full TV coverage?

you might like to put this site in your favourites www.livesportontv.com/search.php?n=1It's usually first with news of the setanta games, by a few days. Choose your sport; your channel and the date range and it'll give you all games. Enjoy!
