Sorry about getting this thread up late but have been away on a long weekend and only just got back. A fairly interesting match as it is the first game with opposition in the same league as us. After our PSF together last year I walked away with the impression that we were going to do alright whilst Exeter were going to struggle and whilst these things don't always pan out that way, that game was certainly a good pointer. The main difference this year is that the fixture is away with it being a tenner to get in this one. For Ling the emphasis is now on match fitness and sharpness so maybe not so many substitutions at half time? Danny has recovered from a mild case of shin splints although Joe still remains on the sidelines after breaking his nose against Tivvy. Hopefully, we can get another win there as we build up to the fast approaching season...

Looking the Herald, Macklin, (through ball from Nathan Craig) Downes and Bodin scored with Thompson hitting the post. Last minute equaliser from Exeter to savage a draw.
Would be good to see some match reports from what appeared to be an entertaining match!

Two very good goals for City early on - we gave them just a little too much space.
Macklin's lob (from a Craig through ball) was a gem, capping another barnstorming performance from him. IF (note it is a big IF) he can sort his attitude, he would be ideal in the "wide attacker" role in a front 3. Lightning quick, great touch, knows how to finish - why are we hoping Weston-super-Mare will take him on a free transfer?
Downes nodded in an inswinging Craig corner to make it 2-2 at HT.
Bodin got a typical Bodin goal - cutting in from the left and shooting across the keeper.
Thompson hit a screamer against the post and we seemed to have one handled on the line.
Their fans (there weren't many of them) went mad when they grabbed a last minute equaliser.
Thompson was impressive when he came on - he can take Macklin's place in January when he gets sold to Chelsea for £1m.
