As Press & Publicity officer for Shaldon Regatta I urge everyone to get to our lovely village and enjoy the ten days of 'sun and fun for everyone' (I know, I know, not one of my best)
It is running from Sunday 17th August until the evening of bank holiday Monday, the 24th.
We have loads to do including for serious sailors, novice sailors, serious rowers and fun rowers along with sand castle competitions, tug of war, beach football, beach kricket and girls playing Beach Volleyball! Plus plenty more each day. The pillow fight on greasy pole is a serious spectator sport.
There's live music most nights and great pubs!
Watch out for the highlight of the week, yours truly hamming it up as a pirate in the Gig & Punt crew on the Saturday. (Actually, we are river pilots, but somehow over the years we seem to have morphed into drunken pirates!)
I note from other, unrelated sites, that merseygull is a big supporter of the regatta... good one mate. (you seem to post more on tripadvisor than on the fans forum!)
