After playing a number of teams at the top of the division, on the face of things we have an easier match against a Bradford side just outside the relegation zone with just the one win this season, at home to Barnet back in August! However, they are a hard team to beat recently drawing against Huddersfield (JPT - through on penalties), Burton, Bristol and Morecambe and narrowly losing to Port Vale (3-2 away), Crawley(3-1 away) and Wimbledon 1-2 at home!)
Branston is the name that we will all look for with Bradford and although he started midweek in the JPT, has lost his place to Davies who will probably start there again, partnering Oliver in the centre of defence. Hannah is the other name that was associated with us but was substituted after only eight minutes on Tuesday and may be injured but again is not starting in league games. Flynn and Hanson, both with the club for some time now, are joint top scorers with 4 each.
As for Torquay, both of our wide men from last week are out and if Howe had picked up a straight red, we really would have been in trouble. If 4-3-3 is used, I suppose two of Macklin, Atieno and McPhee would be the best natural options to start either side up front although I wouldn't mind seeing LRT and Nicholson working together on the left wing. Danny did pretty well last week but probably will be an impact option. The Bradford defence are all over 6ft so we are really going to have to pass the ball and have a bit of pace to make any headway. It will be interesting to see the strategy that Ling comes up with.
Bradford have gone 48 league game since a no score draw and 18 games since a clean sheet (shame on you Pickles! ;D) and if I was a betting man, I would go for a score draw as Bradford shouldn't be 22nd in this league!

A score line of 0:0 seems right, 'cause I just don't know where our goals are going to come from! That's got nothing to do with Bodin being away and Morris injured either! It's becoming one of those seasons where I check the bottom two clubs results before I check our own!

As far as goals scored is concerned, we are in the top half of the table and Mansell / Howe are a good bet to increase their tallies again. Away, we have only scored four from five games but still have gained over half of our points on the road with some defensive performances at home being our achilles heel at present.

bradford are in poorish form, and for all their spending languish near the foot of the table, the sort of game we typically find a way of losing one way or another. But think it will be a draw, cant we sneak the pickler on the team coach home?we miss his presence for sure,i have very little confidence in our defence at present,so 2-2 i reckon

Branston's chances of playing are getting less and less. Bradford have signed ex-gargoyle Seip.
Mr Ling, give Guy a ding-a-Ling and put some backbone in our defence

I think we started our away season with a great win at Bristol and a lucky win at Aldershot...since then our luck has run out of course! Howe is the man to get the ball and hold it, but he has no one to give it to! Atieno...McPhee...just haven't got what it takes. Now we hear that Stevens is going to replace Morris on the left...no balls coming from that quarter then...not that Morris himself was any great shakes! So for me, unless we can bring in someone on loan who knows where the back of the net is...i'll continue to look over my shoulder! Just noticed the link below...now wouldn't that have changed our fortune and have been the perfect player for Howe to give the ball to! www.football365.com/league-two/7229802/Rendell-joins-Rovers-on-loan

As always, I think it will be a very tough trip oop north - especially with such a defense that is prone to go missing since our leadership and organisation so often looks to be completely absent. Bradford are really struggling but at some point they will turn the corner with Parkinson with the quality of player that he is in a position to bring-in - but it will be very disappointing if we become only the second team to lose to them in the league in twelve league matches.
I am a bit concerned that we will look powderpuff up-front if McPhee and Stevens are the replacements for Bodin and Morris. It is good to have Howe back in the team though - if there are chances then I would certainly rather have him on the end of them than any of the other strikers available today. I think he owes a performance after Shrewsbury because I think that he would have a difference against his former club last week and perhaps we might have taken all three points.
I wonder whether Ross Hannah will show us what we might have missed-out on!

If we can get to half time still level then I think we have a good chance of nicking this! Stevens just went wide...
