As we travel to another of the top teams in this division, things are so tight, that despite all our draws, a win would see us leapfrog currently third place Shrewsbury. It will be another tough game but we have a good record both away and against this side and if a sporting head-start is not conceded then anything is possible!
Since their last game at home a fortnight ago, which was a 3-1 win against neighbours Hereford, Shrewsbury have had three tough away games winning 2-3 at Port Vale but losing 1-0 at Bristol (Zebs scored!) and 3-1 at Arsenal this Tuesday just gone. They have a couple of familiar faces to gulls fans with Wroe in midfield and Reuben Hazell in defence. Ainsworth and Wright provide a potent threat on the wings and new man Morgan, formerly of Aldershot has started well with seven goal up front and will probably partner Terry Gornell, just back from suspension after picking up a red in the Hereford game. Other goal scoring avenues for Shrewsbury are Wright, Wroe and Collins, (the other option up front) all on three goals.
As for Torquay, I can see Ling playing 4-4-2 or even 4-5-1 away as opposed to the 4-4-3ish home formation, if only to try to stem those early goals. The latter formation would have Eunan in the hole supporting Howe. As alway, the question is who plays up front with Howe and who is on the right wing? In some respects, Leadbitter may also challenge for that right back spot but for this game at least, a substitution is more likely as he feels his way back into the game from injury! By all accounts, Macklin had a good game on Tuesday but whether this will merit a start for him is anyone's guess as Ling is keeping his cards close to his chest with a squad of 20 traveling up to the Welsh Marches!

been to their new ground twice now,on both visits the stewards staff and amenities have been top notch, infact their set up is the envy of many a club,i recommend anyone thinking of going to go its well worth the trip.As far as the game,we do have a good record against them, and think this could well be a draw again,we need wins i know, but fancy a 1-1 score line

With it being an away game, I'm sure there will be some comments as the match progresses this afternoon, probably as we mount yet another comeback. We have actually got the meanest away defence which is quite amazing considering our last couple of home games but only two goals conceded on the road, one each to Bristol Rovers and Dagenham respectively! However, Ling hasn't ruled out playing with the same formation as last week! I think this is to partly accommodate O'Kane who likes to get forward and provided the link for Bodin to score and may have been involved with the Nicholson goal. I don't think he has the same freedom as one of two midfielders in a 4-4-2 and with Manse also scoring a few we do need someone, such as Lathrope or even Oastler to provide the holding role. Good to hear that Eunan has agreed an extension to his contract and since signing in January last year has made progress from a fringe player, sometimes playing out wide to becoming the nucleus of our squad creating that creativity spark.

historically we do well against them, but of course history counts for nowt, they are scoring aplenty and in form,us,notoriously slow starters, dangerously fast improvers.Has the makings of a good game, our defence is the key, hold it together we will get a result, always capable of scoring as previously said,a draw, but a win would be bootiful

Here we go again..... 1 goal down after just six minutes according to the bbc. Maybe we should go out onto the pitch 45 minutes before kick off in the future. Maybe then we will be ready to start!!!

So, only a goal down at half time and we seem to be passing it around quite well. How about Macklin on the right wing with a bit more pace and an eye for goal?
