Local Derbies are always competitive affairs and it was just over three years ago that the Exeter first team last came to Plainmoor for that Play Off match! Having said that, such is the nature of football we now have a different manager and mainly different players with only Manse, Nico, Robbo and Stevens left from that fateful day. It could be argued that another year in the BSP left us better prepared for league football although it was touch and go for a while. So back to the present and it is likely that it will be a game of two halves, literally with different players although the time could be coming when some players will be given more pitch time. It is always interesting watching the new boys settle in with this being the first chance for Ian Morris to show us what he can do.

As you say, it will probably be a game of two teams. Although the team that plays in the first half seems to be the strongest! What does interest me though is the crowd. Last Saturday turned out half of our match day support*. Could it be that a proper manager playing players in their proper positions has actually put a few more bums on seats~or standing, as the main stand is now for the chop! Only time will tell on that one of course!
*Does anyone know what the corresponding gate was last season.

This year we have had, what feels like an eternity, since we last saw a game.

Just over a thousand for the Bristol City match but the first home match was against Arygle which was 1794. The three home PSF matches this year have been compressed within a week so not sure how that will affect attendances either....

Looking forward to this tonight. On dot com, Ling said he is going to give a 70 minute work out to the players and then reverse that on Saturday as he tunes up the fitness of the various players. The result doesn't matter in these matches but I still hope a strongish XI take to the field tonight...

No Atieno tonight...I'd hazard a guess that we haven't got him then
According to the official Twitter account:
Starting XI: Olejnik, Oastler, Robertson, Saah, Nicholson, Macklin, Mansell, O'Kane, Stevens, Kee, Howe
Subs: Nicholson, Ellis, Morris, McPhee, Lathrope, Yeoman, Palmer, Spear
But obviously there's a mistake in there as Nicho can't start and be a sub...
EDIT: "Taiwo Atieno update: Watching game from the stands tonight and rumoured to be signing contract tomorrow..."

Sounds like Macklin is having a major effect on the game!
