Funnily enough I recently bumped into the character who designed all those mid-1970s programme covers. Very much a low-budget job in those days and put in the hands of a local art student and all-round club volunteer. He's still in the design and marketing business up in Norfolk where he's been since that 1975-76 season. And he remains an Ipswich Town season ticket holder. A few of the local "hards" loitering in that picture. Anybody like to come forward? I'm sure the bloke on the right at the front (top picture) runs a football-related website...... |
