Paul Buckle and Ian Atkins should manage our top sides after all ;D bloody great result for chelski, even though half their team is now banned or injured. Barcelona and Messi - "who are you?"

Paul Buckle and Ian Atkins should manage our top sides after all ;DEspecially as I've read this morning that Pep Guardiola has no Plan B. Sounds familiar! ;D

98576858483828576746262 completed passes in a game doesn't necessarily equal success. A win's a win.

A 50/50 chance when you predicted though James. Have another go at the start of next season and if you predict Chelsea will win it again then you will be wrong!

Football is never 50/50. There are so many factors to take into consideration. Most people had Bayern down to win it because it was the "logical" choice. I just felt it was destined to go to Chelsea after the semi-final. It had that feeling of inevitability about it
I predicted Real Madrid to win it at the start of the season. Got pretty close with that

Got pretty close with that One team = 50% of the teams taking part at that stage. There were only two teams left at the time you predicted so your chance of getting it right was 50/50. Your pre-season prediction of Real Madrid to win it wasn't close as they didn't even get to the final.

One team = 50% of the teams taking part at that stage. There were only two teams left at the time you predicted so your chance of getting it right was 50/50. Only if you don't know anything about the teams involved is a prediction 50/50. That's why betting odds aren't the same for both sides. You have to take talent into consideration (along with the managers, form, morale, suspensions, pitch conditions, the home stadium etc), and Bayern had by far the most talented side. They were the favourites, the team most people expected to win. And they should have won - Chelsea were excellent but Bayern missed 5 or 6 golden chances Real were the best team in Europe this year. I at least got that right - I predicted they would beat Barca in La Liga, which they did, and win the CL, which they were a shootout away from doing (as I'm sure Mourinho would have found a way to beat his old boys)

Even if you come up with some mathematical formula to try to prove that one of two isn't 50% I still won't believe it so this will be my last word on the subject.
