18,300 - that's a cracking crowd for that December 1967 game at the County Ground, Swindon.
And, looking deep into the tales of past clashes between the two clubs, you'll see mention of the three FA Cup games in 1951/52: draws at Swindon and Plainmoor before a decider at Ashton Gate. It appears two of the Swindon goals in the third game were scored by a part-timer who was called-up just as he was leaving for work that morning. Just our luck, eh?
Back to 1967 and, inevitably, John Trollope is listed at number three for Swindon. Some years later Swindon had a left-back called Paul Bodin. And their sons? What became of them?
