Evening all.
Myself and my significant other are returning to Torquay for a few days from 31st March to 5th April.
In a rubbish twist of events we leave on the Thursday no can't make it to the Accrington Stanley match unless it can be moved to the Wednesday or Tuesday? ;D
My questions this evening however are
1) Can anyone recommend a tattoo studio around the Marina area? I am considering another tattoo so might get 1 whilst I am in Torquay
2) Has anyone ever eaten at the inn @ the grosvenor as seen on TV? We are planning to try it out but wondering if anyone has been?
Cheers all sorry cant make match this year though.

If you want somewhere nice to eat you could try The Orange Tree - not cheap though! www.orangetreerestaurant.co.uk/or perhaps Indian www.maha-bharat-torquay.co.uk/baltispecials.phpor they do some nice grub up the Devon Dumpling - good portions and a cracking pint of Real Ale ;D

Ello Wolfie, Mark (owner of Grosvenor) very kindly gave me a raffle prize of a meal for two & bottle of wine for Inn & the Grosvenor for the Night of Legends evening that I organised a couple of weeks ago, it was won by Ant Roach & I have asked him to let me know what is was like! At the moment the Inn @ the Grosvenor is only open for lunch on Sundays but I am told that they will be extending the opening times in not too distant future so you may want to check with them nearer your visit for their opening times!! In the mean time if I get any feed back from Ant I will let you know!!

The captain of our skittle runs the Revolver so can vouch for him and his staff, always excellent work done there.

Well we are back from a truly enjoyable holiday in Torquay for the 2nd year in a row- shame we couldn't make the match & carvery. Day 1 we had a lazy day and went into town. We had a couple of pints at the Cider press where I was annoyed to find my WWFC graffiti from 12 months ago had been defaced by a Cardiff City fan! Love the sweet shop though! In the evening we ate at Simla Spice. To say we were unimpressed is an understatement. Sandwich chicken in tomato soup is not what I call a tikka massalla!
Day 2 we visited Kents Caverns which were really enjoyable and the fantastic Paignton Zoo- best zoo ever! We ate in the evening at Inn@The Grosvenor. It was terrible! I wanted a 12oz rib eye steak and wound up with an 8oz lump of fat and frozen chips!
Day 3 saw us take a trip to Totnes where I met a fellow Wolf managing a pub. We had a great carvery before visiting the excellent Berry Pomeroy castle.
Day 4 we headed to Plymouth where we visited the huge Marine life centre. We had a little walk around the sort of village place nearby which was lovely as well. We took Chelston Gull's advice and ate at Mhara Barat. The food tasted good but we have never received such a rude and awful service!
Day 5 and it was my birthday! We took a trip on the boat to Dartmouth which was enjoyable. The best though was the evening meal at the amazing Camelot! Seriously if anyone has never been go!
Sadly my laptop decided to pack in so I was unable to get online whilst in Torquay.
Sadly didn't get a chance to get my new tattoo but plan to return in the future.
Torquay rules!
