I’ve been having a clear out and making a few tough decisions about the detritus that is threatening to engulf my living space.
Firstly, a pile of When Saturday Comes magazines. Magazines are difficult: they’re not as disposable as newspapers nor as keepable as books. And, because I’ve occasionally contributed to WSC, I’ve been loathe to ditch my back numbers. But the time has come to dispose of the first 250 from 1986 to 2007. They’re in Exeter if anybody is interested enough to take them off my hands. I’d rather somebody enjoy them than push them in to the re-cycling skip.
Secondly, a pile of Wisden Cricketers’ Almanacks (the yellow-covered yearbook) to flog running from 1970 to 2002. Mainly softbacks until a switch to hardbacks in the mid-1990s. Reluctant to sell off individual editions just yet, but would sell mini-runs from the start of the sequence or backwards from the end.
If anybody is interested, please let me know.

The magazines will be going to a member of this forum who has expressed an interest in taking them off my hands.
The Wisdens have found a home at the Hospicare bookshop on South Street in Exeter, one of the best charity bookshops for many a mile.

Dropped some items into the Rowcroft shop in Paignton earlier this week. Not sure if all of it was necessarily their “bag” but – somewhere in their network of shops - there could now be some 1990s TUFC shirts, 1970s FA Cup final programmes and a few magazines from the 1966 and 1970 World Cups.

Anybody interested?

If James wants but can't pick up, I could probably pick up and hand over at a later date.
Best they go to a trainee TUFC article writer, seeing as you are approaching retirement!

Hi Jon and Barton, we have been away in Florida for a fortnight, has it been quiet without James ;D He has asked me to accept Jon's kind offer as he would love them
