Just read that Reidy sold his F.A. Cup medal to help pay some of the staff and also paid the gas bill one month out of his own pocket and Ridsdale sacks him! I really wish I could use the "C" word right now!

What a prat! I suspect the results were down to something to do other than his management skills in what was really an impossible situation! So, who is going to do the managing now? They won't be able to get anyone in until they are out of administration, surely? Probably makes it even more likely that it will be BSP football for them next season, at best!

They lost all their expensive players and some other not so expensive ones and are left with the remnants of what was only an average squad, one that hasn`t been paid for nine months. You know they were promised 40% of their last months wages or they weren`t gunna get on the team coach, well guess what happened! The cheques all bounced, how the bloody hell was Reidy going to motivate them? He`s clearly being used as a scapegoat by Ridsdale and if you ready their forums it appears that this has worked as the Argyle faithfull have turned on Reidy since this news broke! Who in thier right mind is going to manage them for no wages and no player budget?

Peter Red has been relieved of his post at Argyle after a poor start and run of defeats. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14964634.stmI realise this is om the TU board bit feel its correct to see it discussed and to hear other football supporters views. Move if you feel the need Rob Personally I see it as a shocking knee jerk decision. Reid has been a gentleman and a shining light in the entire shambolic debacle and had even auctioned of a cup winners medal to help pay staff wages. To blame the manager for poor results when players haven't been paid for months, after regularly losing his better players to aid the clubs survival. What the feck did they expect? They will nose dive now Reid did at least have the respect of a inexperienced squad but this will be seen as another body blow by some of them. You reap what you sow as the saying goes and boy are they reaping!

I think this may well have been timed to avoid a compensation payment as under admin Reid would be amongst the long line of creditors where as if they sacked him out of admin they would have had to settle in full. What a sad outfit.

What a sad outfit. He will still be classed as a "football creditor" as far as I can tell, so will get the compensation when a new consortium takes over (or they wont get the football league "share" transferred to them)
