Would have been at game but on the way we found out that the game had been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
We were hoping we could go to watch another match nearby,I think Luton were at home that day.
But these were the days when the travel club offered day drips for anybody else who didn`t want to go to the match.
Traveling with us were a Girl and her Mother who were going to Northampton to buy a wedding dress,so we had to stay.
Can`t remember how we whiled away all the time,but a group of us had a kick about with some friendly locals in the local park.
On the way back I found out that the bride to be was a Swindon Town supporter,so I cheekily pointed out our 9-0 record victory over them from a 1965 supporters handbook I had with me.It raised a few laughs.
