The first of two tough home games on successive Fridays is against the third placed team that somehow we need to chase down five points over the next four games. Wycombe will be a tough side to beat having not lost for six games, although four of these were draws but we did win 3:1 there, earlier in the season during an unbeaten November.
The main goal threat for Wycombe is very well known to us and it is no surprise that Scott Rendell has notched 16 goals so far as he is a proven scorer at this level. The club captain, Gareth Ainsworth has 10 to his credit from midfield and although he was rested with a tight hamstring on Saturday, will no doubt be back for this match.
As for Torquay, perhaps a little unlucky not to sneak a win at the death on Saturday but this hasn't happened often, if at all this season. The good news is that a refreshed Stanley is back for the next three games which does give us some more options. In my opinion, having Kee on the right wing doesn't work and Zebs in that position, will threaten their left back more, defend better and score more goals from there. That's not to say Zebs and Tomlin up front doesn't work because they looked dangerous but someone decent on the right wing would have opened things up more.
So the alternatives are to either move O'Kane or Zebs out to the right with the latter option requiring Murray or Kee to partner Tomlin. Whatever, the tactical option, two out of O'Kane, Murray or Kee will start on the bench which in itself would give Buckle more options in another tight match.
Again, the Easter weekend will go a long way to determining our final position this season and hopefully there will be another good turn out to cheer the lads on.

Zebs is better on the left wing and Eunan on the right with Stanners and Lathrope in the centre, I`d like to see Mark back in the middle of defence with Guy and Robbo at right back which pushes Captain Lee up into Damons position, up top we have a choice of Billy, Gav and Ronan to choose from which makes it difficult but nice problemwise. It`s pointless mentioning Nicho because he would be one of the first names on any of my team sheets which is a bit hard on Snoop but his time will come!

All we can ask for is effort from the lads and hope that they give the Chairboys hell all afternoon. A win would put us back in the mix for 3rd spot, anything less and we can focus on clinching a play-off spot.
I hope that if we do not finish in a top-7 spot the Devon public will not see this as failure and another kick in the teeth.
Regardless the outcome of this last few weeks we should be proud of our club this season.

There isn't an easy game left, including Burton who are fighting for their lives.It maybe a blessing in disguise as the players should be mentally prepared for a battle. Pressures on now whereas before we were just going out to perform and enjoy with our flowing passing game the success and swift move into the playoffs positions increase the expectation levels .
Easy to trip up and its a toss up if we succeed with so many teams in with a shout and all thinking they can make it.
Bucks though is pretty good at taking the pressure off of the players though and does so quite publicly , "Young side punching above our weight with the lowest budget in the football league "etc all very true of course but done to ease the pressure and to try and lower the expectations of supporters. As Ospell says all we can ask is that we apply ourselves and give it our all and if it doesn't happen for us then it will not be for the want of trying. Whatever its been an exceptional season where once again we have got stronger and stronger. We deserve to be there when you look at our goal difference and results against the top sides lets hope we can reach the lottery of the playoffs at least.

yep a must win game for sure to keep any auto promotions alive,but wherever any of the promotion scrapping clubs end up after 46 games the fact is the table will not lie,i hope we are in the mix still then

I keep doing the predictor thing on BBC and I've got this down as 2-1 to us followed by a draw at Burton. We end up missing auto by 2 points with Vale in the playoffs. Whoever we may get playoff wise wouldn't it make sense to offer vouchers for it? Might just boost the final 2 home gates.

Feeling very positive this morning ...... it may have something to do with having 11 days off work ahead ..... Beautiful .... Thank You Easter and Thank the impending Royal Nuptuals  After my morning shower and strong coffee I donned my TUFC shirt very proudly... I've had a little mooch around the harbour and read The Daily Mum...well parts of it any way I didn't realise Wycombe were in such a strong position ... this is gonna be a tough one indeed and I'm hoping the lads will be not so on edge as they clearly were against Vale last week I'm hoping that The Stanley Effect will take care of that today though  It has to be Win..... Win... Win... all the way.... It's in our hands Fingers crossed people Oh oh I made the school boy error of biting my nails on tuesday ..... I've got nothing to bite later.... Doh !!!!  |

In front of a good crowd of 4,009 the lads gave them hell but couldn't finish them off. Twice denied by the woodwork, again...  Looking forward to the reports. Good to see that Stevenage lost at Southend (after missing a penalty)! |

Just back and a quick report for those unable to attend.
Great to see a really decent crowd at a sunny and warm Plainmoor. Plenty of water put on the pitch as per usual which I suppose aids the pace of the game but watering so late and during the halftime interval makes the top very slippery with players losing their footing on a regular basis. A soaking as early as possible would allow the water to penetrate into the ground and not just sit a slushy and slippery top. To the match and early exchanges were pretty even but we always looked the more dangerous Zebs shooting across goal early on and bringing a good save from Bull, one of many come FT . We seemed to have more space than we did last week against Vale but were unable to capitalise either by choosing the wrong pass or slipping on the dodgy pitch at the crucial point. The outstanding Stanley was back and the side for Billy Kee and the side look far more balanced and stronger in the middle which bode well for the remainder of the game. However we were never really able to get our flowing game going against a resolute and sometimes fortunate Wycombe side who rode their luck especially in the second period when we hit the woodwork a couple of times We were pretty good today doing everything but score and any honest Wycombe supporter will tell you that they were pretty fortunate to come away with a point.
Billy had a couple of good chances which he should in all honesty have done better but hes still a young lad and will improve. Jake Robinson can be brilliant one minute and poor the next and was also unlucky with a couple of improvised shots one from way out wide in the second period that hit the side netting and almost crept in. Defensively we were quite outstanding today GB was superb and dominated Scotty R who did what he could and Betsy was their only other real threat though Mans was very good at keeping him quiet. In summary then we looked very solid and capable but just lacked that bit of fortune in front of goal and had we got one I think the flood gates would have opened as Wycombe would have had to commit more going forward. Not the end of the world by any means but I still think we need two more wins from three very tough games now to ensure we make the lottery of the play offs.

A It would seem that the watering was at the request of Lee Mansell who had a conversation with the groundsman at half time |
