just a thought on yesterdays gate,ok not massive, but a big jump on recent gates, exeter were in london and argyle didnt play at all, maybe a reason why there was a slight improvement on our usual attendance While it might be possible a few City or Argyle fans might have added to our gate( I know two Argyle fans who do sometimes come to our games when their team is playing away) I would suggest it was more to do with our team winning three games on the trot. I also feel a good number of fans had to choose between coming on Tuesday night and Saturday for financial reasons. As we know Tuesday was a wet old night and there was live football on the TV. 300 season ticket holders did not attend the Tuesday night match against Burton. Yes I'm sure some live a bit to far away to have got to the game etc, but there was just one of the reasons the gate was so low on Tuesday night. The only good news is the club had already had their money and so never lost out as such, but you do wonder why so many never came to the match.

Thanks for the match reports guys! On the radio it sounded like a reasonably entertaining game in which we could have nicked it at the end.
A healthy gate, the 4th highest of this season. Well done to all who made the effort to get to Plainmoor!
On Tuesday another important game if we want to mix it in for the play-offs at the end of the season.

....yeah there was a number of factors behind the much better gate yesterday. Obviously 3 wins on the trot, the spring weather and ex and plym not playing all helped, there was at least 150 or so there for the TUFC in the community cup which was played after the game, hopefully some of the kids' families enjoyed the TUFC match and will be back. These kind of events being held on match days at Plainmoor do so much to bring the club and the community together. It was great to watch the kids play......they were so thrilled to be able to play on the hallowed turf, floodlights and all......the standard was very good too. Its a cup comp between all the primary schools in Torbay......Oldway, Whiterock and Sherwell Valley (who my lad is the striker for) had qualified and played off in a round robin event with the winners off to Wycombe for the next stage (southern final). Sherwell Valley edged out Whiterock 1-0 with Jake getting the goal......when Oldway beat Whiterock again by the same score it was all on the last game. It ended goaless after a frenetic and very tense game......and went to penalties, the 1st 2 sherwell lads missed theirs and jake going 3rd stepped up to take his........missed as well! Oldway eventually going through 4-2 on pens in the end. From the sheer elation of scoring at Plainmoor ;D....to fighting back tears at missing a pen KFC after.......sorted it out though

Great to read your post Justin and so glad the club have started doing the schools football once again. I take it that its much the same as what once used to happen at halftime in our home games?
I bet those kids loved playing on the pitch and also learning the joys and the tears playing the game can bring.

read most of the posts, seems a point a fair result, but like many of u you, cannot understand why bucks changed formation, good crowd as well, looks like going in the right direction, long may it continue....simon not for the first time, points lost by buckles tactics!! So by the very same nature, WELL DONE Paul Buckle for getting his tactics ABSOLUTELY spot on in the 3 previous games where we picked up 9 points. Nice one Paul.

thats the nature of the beast that is football, back and sack depending on each result,if you go on any football forum its the same. Two weeks ago sid james park fans were calling for tisdales head, simply because they lost to brentord in jpt, since then two away wins and he is the best thing since sliced bread,no doubt PB will get stick on our next dodgey run.We all talk like footy managers when it goes wrong, but on a decent run the manager is the cats whiskers and it is never going to change, thats football

I see the boiler at Plainmoor broke down on Saturday and all the players had to have cold showers after the match. After ending up only drawing a game we were winning, that was the last thing our players needed. But then again was it
