Shocking ref who wouldn't have given handball against a juggler today. A solid performance against a shocking side. Straight red deserved. Gilligan looks good. Rowe-Turner and the understated Oastler played their roles superbly. Cracking goal by Kee after a peach of a turn and crossfield pass by Gilligan. Taking the piss at the end with an 8 or 9 pass samba move leading to Zebs finish. Marks out of ten.
Potter - understandably bored as little to do, but did what he had to, well. 7 Ooh Ah Rowe-Turnah - no nonsense 'ave it tackling nicely taken goal - 8 Branston - 7.5 (better late on) Robertson - 7 (solid) Manse - 7 Jo Makelele Oastler - 8.5 Stanley - 6 O'Kane - 5 Zebs - 8 Kee - 7 (but class) Robinson - 7 (like the look of him) Subs: Gilligan 8; Stevens and Lathrope (not on long but Stevens looked lively as He ways is against woeful opposition teams)

Another good win, but if you have any aspirations of being promoted, or in our case staying in the league, then you have to beat these teams at the bottom. Something which we haven't been doing for quite a while now. So roll on Tuesday and another three points! Although Burton did beat Chesterfield on Friday night! As a footnote, I hope you all realise what a great sacrifice I am making for the good of the team. I am the worlds worst gambler and what ever I bet on loses. So in the prediction league I now always put Torquay down to lose...pity I didn't start three weeks ago instead of two!

Well if you serve up Pukka Pies then you deserve to be bottom, disgracefull! I am absolutely delighted for LRT, our defence hasn`t let a goal in for a couple of games now, this competition for places amoungst the back four must be a good problem for P.B. Can Nicho displace LRT to get his spot back and Mark, Robbo and Guy have the center sown up, plenty of players that can play in mid-field/wings and a couple of good strikers who seem to be able to find the net. Clean sheets and plenty of goals will do me nicely!

Many thanks for the match reports and one thing that stuck out was those who got to see our new loan signings for the first time, agree with those who have already seen them play at home.
I actually feel with the three new loan players, we are a better side than we were before they arrived. I have already stated on another thread that I believe we have more goals in us now and I’m sure that is the one thing that will see us winning more matches in the second half of this season.
Our only concerning problem as far as I’m concerned is the size of our squad; take out two or three first choice players and we may just find we end up struggling a bit. It’s important to try and get as many points as possible while the team is at full strength and if all the players do play to the best of their ability, we should never really fear any team in this league.
What has pleased me most is the game Rowe-Turner had, does sound like he was a bit rusty to start off with as expected, but went on and did well and getting an added bonus of scoring a goal for us.
I do not think it was ever the case fans felt he was not very good, or did not have real potential, I just think that Bucks who has shown he is very good at managing young up and coming players, made a mistake putting him in the side straight away when he first joined us.
Many fans were still questioning Bucks decisions to move on Tim Sills and Chris Hargreaves and results had not turned around and there was a real fear we might get relegated. Rowe-Turner in my view was not ready or yet up to the job that was required at that time and the plain facts were, while Nico lacked any real pace, he was our best option at left back.
That fact was proved when he was put back into the side and the real shame was that fans righty saw how little Rowe-Turner was able to offer a struggling team and felt he was not very good at all.
Bucks as far as I’m concerned must take the blame for that as he put Rowe-Turner in a no win situation with the fans and mainly due to our perilous league position at the time.
I’m sure the time is now right to start giving Rowe-Turner more first team action as it’s possible that Nico may not be considered good enough for next season and part of Bucks job is to keep building next seasons team and he has many good young players to do just that.
I do wonder when Mark Ellis will get his next chance on the first team; it may come as a result of an injury or suspension, it’s a shame after all the time it took him to be a regular starter for the first team, that his game has for some strange reason, become full of too many mistakes.
Tuesdays night’s game is going to be a much stiffer challenge than our last two games, but I believe we are good enough to win it and am expecting another three points being added to the points we have won so far this season.

A couple of points about LRT you made there Dave. First up, when LRT came into what was a struggling side, we didn't lose any of the six matches that we played and Nico only got back into the side after coming back with a superb substitute appearance. I recall someone making a comment that it was like a premiership player coming on!
Secondly, Nico is contracted for next season as well so will probably remain with us and I feel that there is now more competition and injury cover at left back now to take us forward.

I think we had lost something like 6 of the last 8 matches, LRT comes into the side and we then go unbeaten for 6. And all he seemed to get was a slagging from most people, both on here and at the ground!

4-1-2-2-1 Did anyone at the game see this line up or was it really 4-3-3, I`ve read elsewhere that we played 4-1-2-2-1, this formation strikes me as very narrow and centrally cluttered. If the 2 banks of 2 are wide enough for us not be too narrow then the 2 lots of 1 would automatically be drawn into 4-3-3 or else we would get ripped to bits with all those holes to play through! What formation did Barnet employ?

Going back to the 'Undertaker' and his advert...
It is stated that there is a discount for season ticket holders. Does this depend on how much of the season is actually left to go upon date of death and done on a sort-of 'pro rata' basis?!

If this comes out correctly....
---------------Potter------------------ Manse-----Robbo---Branston-----LRT -----------------Oastler------------------ -----------Stanley------O'Kane--------- Robinson----------------------Zebroski ------------------Kee---------------------
Very fluid - front three switched places constantly - narrow would be the absolute opposite of the actual formation. Mansell and LRT continually got forward as well.
Barnet were straight 4-4-2 until Poolis Jr got sent off, then Kabba dropped back into midfield. Second half they went narrow 4-3-2 and tried to attack. Their only decent player was Marshall and he made a hash of their best chance, pulling a shot wide when he could have equalised early in the second half (their best spell of the game)
