I'm sorry I have removed the post I made this morning, very sorry also to those who had posted on the thread. This forum as you know will not be looking to delete, move or lock posts or threads. I have received an email this morning and I need time to find the best way forward for both forums.
Anyway I made it ;D ;D ;D

I should really add, that your views on .net are fine, as long as we don't use names or use the forum for any personal vendetta, we'll leave others to get up to that.

The Forum as been re opened for all guests to view, please remember everyone can now read anything you put on the forum.
I strongly believe the forum should not have to feel it needs to hide away.
I will at this time still leave it set, that new members have to be approved.

As I remember it never used to be the ".net" site... It used to be called the "unofficial" website when a guy called Mervo Scoble ran it, and it was fun & sometimes educational to read then. Sadly it deteriorated into somewhat of a playground, took on a new name and image with sensible football related posts being overshadowed by lots of people in the know!! .... and silly childish remarks. Don't let this site slip the same way, because once you have lost a regular user it is hard to win them back.

As I remember it never used to be the ".net" site... It used to be called the "unofficial" website when a guy called Mervo Scoble ran it I think it was also referred to as .net in Mervo's time. In the old days Mervo's site actually was .com and was the "official" site. There was a bit of a falling out when the club decided to go with Premium TV and took the .com name over. Mervo (quite correctly) was strongly opposed to this decision and having lost the .com address set up as .net with an unofficial site. The terms .net and .com (but more usually .con) were used from the time of the split.

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D well I had to get that post off double quick or miss the start of the opener and my tip (Tajweed) did a good impersonation of a rocking horse and finished stone last - and lucky to get that I'd say! Want to stick with me for the last three races? 4.00 1m 4f - the big one, the Derby;and my money went on last night's tip no 7 Doctor Fremantle at 9/1 this morning and I chose him as I reckon he is the best balanced of the main protagonists - a big attribute in this race over the contrasting elevations of the Epsom track where it is so easy for a bigger horse to "lose it's action" 4.45 1m 4f (again) - no 9 Bandama is too big a temptation at 17/2 to turn down for me although he won't be amongst the leading contenders in the betting. 5.20 6f - If you're up on the bookies by this stage, put half of your winnings at 4/1 on no 6 Joseph Henry the number two string in sprint expert trainer Dandy Nichols four strong string for this closing race. Son Adrian T Nichols hasn't chosen him for nothing and I expect him to romp home.................but then my tipping and betting form has been poor for a while now so what do I know?

Funny how we still refer to the sites as .net, .com etc. In my favourites I've listed this one as TUFC Forum - The Rival.
