I know it`s a new stadium at Morecombe but what are the stats against them away, not that a new stadium should alter any sort of luck or form? It's a long history between the two sides with them getting promoted the year we got relegated but basically we have always lost there! ;D All Soccer Matches ordered by Timeline 30/10/10, 16:00 Torquay - Morecambe FT 3 : 1 (1 : 1) (2 : 0) 27/03/10, 16:00 Morecambe - Torquay FT 2 : 0 (1 : 0) (1 : 0) 17/10/09, 16:00 Torquay - Morecambe FT 2 : 2 (1 : 1) (1 : 1) Thanks for that, I knew we had never done any good up there. Time we changed this I think!

In this league, form is often irrelevant. A lack-lustre season at home combined with a cracking away record by the visiting team means nothing if the management haven't put all their resources into planning for the match, as I'm sure ours have.
No point being unprepared at Morcambe, and wise after the game.

I would imagine their groundsman is looking to the heavens and saying:
'Bring Me Sunshine'.....

Well that weather forecast does not sound to good and their ground does look rather exposed on one side at least, so the gale force winds could be a problem. Many local games here in the Bay have been called of as we have had more of our fair share of rain this week. Anyone for summer football

For the pie lovers going to the game, this post taken from a Morecambe forum might interest you, this is being done today for the fist time
This is not an official communication, but a favour to the Head Chef at the Globe.
Taking on board peoples comments and trying to improve match day experience the catering staff have worked hard and have, finally, been given the go ahead with a trial of a meal offer.
Pie, peas, mash and gravy in a tray for £4.50.
With a choice of Chicken, Ham and Leek, Steak and Ale, or Chicken Balti pies, these amount to a "substantial meal".
Anyone who has eaten at the Globe Arena, or know someone who has, will be aware of the high standard of catering, these pies are handmade in the Globe Arena kitchens.
Having had a homemade Chicken Balti pie a couple of weeks back, I and Hodgy , know first hand how tasty their pies are.
Unfortunately I don't think they are able to currently get these to the MBW (problems with storing at temp) for the time being. They will be on sale in the PMG, however with success they will be on sale elsewhere in the ground.
I would urge the people who have the power to be patient with this, it will be a fans favourite given time.
So come on main standers fill ya bellies to give the rest of us a chance!
I think this is proof that there are people in the club who are listening to fans and trying to improve the overall experience.

Great post Dave! I had a steak and ale pie at Plainmoor last home game and it was bloody lovely, home made they are, not some factory crap. Highly recommended! They aren`t the cheapest pies around but you will see why when you eat one, you get what you pay for!

Extremely p1ssed off!!!!!!!!! Bloody chicken pie (factory made) had a feather in it, put me right off! Never again, factory rubbish is now banned from my diet, must be hand made from now on. Out to find a decent pie now, maybe beef as there is less chance of finding a bloody feather in it, init!

More chance of finding a hoof or a horn though Aussie! Found a tooth once, that did me in for months, couldn`t go near a pie! Would never happen with a `Floater`! Hand made pies from now on!

I`d sooner rip him a brand new a______e than speak to him! That goes for his trained chimp as well, I might have to bann myself from my usual place on that day, sometimes I can`t trust my self to be within arms reach of some people! You know when you should walk away and the over whelming urge to punch the living daylights out of them is too strong, well that`s what I`m worried about!
