Because if their replay is Tuesday 16th we can't play them in the planned Sky tv game the day before, so we revert to the Saturday (13th)

Again, some good match reports and a cracking first post from johncad.
With the tight finances at the club, I think the primary objective was not to lose at what was potentially a banana skin of a fixture. Hence, the need to be solid, the lack of any pretty football with an emphasis on the counter-attack which was evidenced by the initial defensive 4-5-1 formation. However, it is job done with 3 wins in a week and our name in the hat for the next round, so well done Bucks!

a long journey but worth it in the end !! sorry dont have time for a report but thanks to wigstongull and johncad my contribution would only have been repetitive as i agree with most of their report. my only comment is that they must have totally different views of the lad oastler. i certainly didn't think he put in a poor shift and have to agree with johncad that he was excellent and has been since he arrived .yes a couple of passes went awol but his superb defensive qualities and workrate off the ball cancelled this out. however its all about opinions and a win in the end coyy

I can go next week does the game definately revert to next Saturday? Barnet's draw with Charlton now means that United's League 2 game with Barnet will take place next Saturday, 13th November and not on Monday 15th which means that Sky Sports will not be covering the match at Plainmoor. Hope that helps!

Good old Benyon, his 8th this season. Not bad for a player who " probably just about deserves to be in the side at the moment" A bit harsh when I said that maybe! Fair play, it was excellent finish yesterday. I just felt he could have been dropped after the Bury and Gillingham games when his contributions were minimal. I know he scored twice against Morecambe, but I'd have been disappointed if any of our strikers had missed those chances. His all round game still needs to improve though and I believe Billy Kee is better at holding the ball up than Benyon. If Benyon improves this area of his game, he will be a bigger asset to the side in the games where not so many chances come his way. The Gillingham game being a case in point.

Some good posts above so don't really need to add much. First half we were dire, second half we were slightly better. Talked to a few of their fans in The Talbot before the match, and thought they were quite friendly. Shot off straight after the match so didn't see any grief outside.
We were lucky but we're through. Here's hoping for a good draw in the next round!

Thanks for the match reports guys! We've ducked a potential banana skin and I'm hoping for a Manc double for the next rounds. FC United at home in the 2nd round and a trip to Old Trafford in the 3rd round that is.

I think Oastler's initial one month deal has now expired so Buckle now may have the option of extending his deal. He was brought in to bolster the midfield but with Wroe playing well there may not get so many opportunities. However, could provide some cover at right back if Danny Senda is out for a bit. So, should he stay and if yes where would you play him?

didn't realise his month's loan spell was up ! seems to have flown by. yer wroe has come back in fine form but in answer to your question, if bucks can agree an extension, i would leave him exactly where he is, in the middle of the park protecting our back four with manse. we dont seem to be conceding as many with him in the team.

In case anyone missed it, Oastler is retained on a youth loan until 22nd January but subject to a 48 hour recall clause. Bucks was certainly complimentary about the lad and we have only lost the one game since he arrived.
