No problem, just wanted to balance the record.
And try having a party, as we did yesterday, where 70% of those present, and most of those being family, continually rabbit on about the rugby! They were so disappointed on getting to the ground on Saturday to find that Saracens play 'at a bloody football ground'.
I bit my tongue and kept quiet for the sake of harmony!

The crowd was 2732 on the corresponding weekend last year although just over 300 away fans distorts this slightly. Still 350 home fans down when we are so much higher up the league is very disappointing. 2,172 was disappointing, but hardly shockingly bad by TUFC standards. I think in previous discussions about crowds it was found that our average over the last thirty years or so was round about the 2,500-2,600 mark. Our current average is 2,650 this season, and although last Saturday's gate was poor, a couple of hundred away fans (instead of 80-odd) would have taken it to around 2,400 - lower than normal maybe, but not a hell of a lot lower.

We lack high upfront.Want has happened to Grits?is he unfit etc. Crowd disappointing,we should I think 2500 / 2800 for home games t he Kids 4 a Quid ans 10 4 12 may entice some more "bodies" in.The subs Bucks brought on can change things so we havw at the moment got some ammo in the locker.

At the end of the day a couple of the factors that determine crowd size are a winning team and a high league position - as we improve attendance figures will increase BUT there are other influences that will also contribute to more people coming through the turnstiles. It is also possible that other factors such as it being schools half term meant that some, like myself, were away and missed this game. wondered why you were AWOL!! report at 6am for jankers

wondered why you were AWOL!! report at 6am for jankers O.k. Spill it! What the bleedin` heck is jankers? Don`t make me Google it! If you ever got in trouble in the forces, you were put on a charge (form 252). your punishment would be jankers which would range from washing up in the mess to painting the grass green ;D I was a good boy and never received or gave one.

One of the more unfortunate moments in the match was, when 3-1 up and moving up to eighth place, the abuse afforded Paul Buckle as he was standing by the dugout trying to get instructions to the players on the pitch. A bit of light-hearted banter is one thing, even a moan and a groan which we'd all agree, including Bucks himself, is all part of the game, but to stand a few feet away from him and shout personal abuse is really not on, is it? The man is a human-being just like the rest of us, respect his feelings as one.
I know that this has been brought up on the forum before but Saturday's was taking it too far and really is counter-productive.

You are absolutely correct, Budleigh and morons like this should be ejected and banned from Plainmoor.
I have long since advocated that a big, burly steward is positioned on the front of the terrace, just to the left of the dugout and takes action. What is the point of having a steward in the middle of the dugouts, that is anyway a no-go area, having friendly chats with the fourth official!?

I believe that something is to be done to stop this happening again... Yeah their gunna let me loose with my fork! Believe me I`d bloody love too. We could mulch the left-overs and fetilize the pitch with it, but saying that their so bloody poisoness the grass would probably die!

I may need to add to the last couple of posts by saying that I happen to stand very near the dug out at every match.
Now on Saturday the non stop moaning and groaning by others around me during the first half got to such acute levels and got to me so much that I decided to go for my HT coffee VERY early, I got my coffee and didn't return to my usual spot.....so I missed the abuse that was hurled at Bucks during the second half, but I could deffo feel it coming from the mood of the supporters around me during the first half.
Now I am in know way against freedom of expression and personal opinions being voiced at a footie game and I'm aware its all part of the game and all that. But its clear to me that some people are out for a moan and a whinge before the first whistle has even been blown and are ready and waiting for the first mistake or loose pass to go astray to vocally vent their low opinions of our manager.
These guys moan when we play it long, they moan when we play it short, they moan when we try and keep possession, they moan when we lose possession, they moan at the substitutions and the lack of substitutions..... in short They Don't Stop Moanin !!!
Ha ! Just made myself laaf by remembering the Chas & Dave song from back in the day called Rabbit. you could replace the word "Talkin" in that song with "Moanin" and that would sum it up very well.
Some of these moaners would do well to remember that they are watching Div Two football at Plainmoor and not La Liga at the Nou Camp and maybe adjust their viewing expectations accordingly.
Mmmm Nuff Said.

It was also bought up at the recent Fans Forum, Bucks said that he finds it extremely off putting & its also very bad mannered. Bucks also stressed how much he & the team appreciate the fans getting 'behind' the team during a game! Bucks also said that he is aware that if the team are not performing on the pitch he can understand why the popside particularly are quiet but stressed that the players do look for encouragement from the fans during the whole of the match!! Bucks also said that he loves the 'drum' and thinks that it adds great atmosphere!!
