I think letting in that goal against Reading hurt our players far more than losing the game as they know they can take real pride for their gallant performance in the match itself Before the game it was nine league games without conceding a goal and the record was set playing league matches and so will continue on in the game against Lincoln so you can be sure our boys will do everything to keep another clean sheet.
The only change I can see Bucks might make for this game is starting Wayne Carlisle who would give our team an even stronger look to it and another experienced head to add to the mix of our younger players.
If he does start with Wayne then I would expect it would be at the expense of Danny Stevens who did have a reasonably good game against Reading but does not offer to the team as much as a fully fit Wayne Carlisle is able to do.
I’m sure our players will go to Lincoln full of confidence and come away with all three points that will keep them on the top or near the top of the table depending on goals scored in other games.
If I had just one wish for this game it would be that Billy Kee gets his first league goal for us as I’m sure that will set him on his way to getting many more during the season.

Does anybody know when the reserve fixtures start? It may be that Carlisle needs match practise before he plays in the first team, and therefore be used in reserve games first?
However, it may be that he either starts and comes off in the second half, or starts the game as a sub, coming on in the second half. I would not imagine that he will be fit enough to play the entire 90 minutes (although obviously say this not having any prior knowledge as to how he is getting on in training!!)

well if we can perform as of the last two games we should win,we all know carayol very well,he will be managed on the day,for that i am sure.Billy Kee is like a stick of dynamite at present, the fuse is lit but no explosion, but he will ignite, once he gets one i firmly believe there will no stopping him.As dave says wayne carlisle if fit is a stronger option than danny stevens, who although has improved immensely still remains an impact sub in my opinion. The rest have picked themselves really, just give us more of the same please chaps,2-0 to us i reckon, kee and zebroski

I do wish that people would get off Dannys back, hes in the side on merit and is giving the side the right balance the manager requires. Technically he is above this level but physically, owing to his stature he can on occasions look as if hes struggling at this level but he never gives up and has improved another notch this season and thoroughly deserves his opportunity . Wayne will no doubt get his chance but he has missed the whole pre season preparation but lets remember that this is a squad game more than ever with 7 on the bench ready and waiting to seize there chance, and our "bench warmers" look as good as any I have seen in recent seasons.

It may be that Carlisle needs match practise before he plays in the first team, and therefore be used in reserve games first? Well Scott reading the Herald Express it seems Paul Buckle only sees Wayne Carlisle as a utility player here and Danny and Zebs has his first choice wingers. I would think the member who said they believed he was only on a six month contract was probably right if that is how Bucks sees his role at our club now, I’m sure he would not have offered him a two year contract as someone suggested. Wayne is in the squad tomorrow and is sure to be on the bench and I’m sure if he does get on he will want to show Bucks he should also be considered starting games. Bucks as also said that the players will give no special attention to Muzzy, maybe not but we will have to keep a very close eye on him as he will want to play well and have a major impacted on the game. I hope we can keep him nice and quite as you just know if he ends up tearing us apart at the back and even scoring, some will want to use that to blame Paul Buckle for not keeping him here. The fact is he did and Muzzy had reasons we wanted top move away from Torbay.

0-1 is a great shout for this afternoon. Maybe even 0-2?!
Was going to type out my team for the match, but with Gritton out and Bucks seemingly settled on his wingers, it picks itself. Got to be a good thing I reckon!

According to Helen on Soccer AM this morning, Gritts has done the player pen pics for today's Lincoln programme and has slaughtered all the players (in a friendly, team-mate banter sort of way not an idiot "fan" to Danny Stevens sort of way).
If anyone is going and can get a programme, it would be great to see the relevant pages posted here for us all to enjoy!

Yeah a bitch fest or is it a moan-a-thon? I can`t quite work it out! Bet Mervo must be pissed off to read what`s on there, he opened up an alternative for people to use and their all whinging like good-uns on it, nothing about Torquay what so ever! Forza (as Yellow calls him) is having a dig at TFF because one of his own comrades from .net posted something he didn`t like so it`s natually our fault over here, makes loads of sense! Louis hurry up and sort .net out so everyone can go back to normal!

I'm sorry Jon but I allowed a link to that site to be put up on the TFF on a thread about information as to why it is down. I understand your reasons for wanting to post it again on our match day thread, but due to what is once again being posted about the TFF I'm not prepared to have another link on here other than the one already on here. There is only so much high ground anyone can stand on and I'm as high as I can go.
The TFF is happy for any TUFC fans to use this forum while the other one is down and if you do and enjoy your time here maybe you will stick around. If not I would hope you would not feel the need to join in with the mindless few who seem to have nothing better to do than try and rubbish another forum where its members are just fellow fans of Torquay United.
