Providing the weather is not too bad on the day of this game, I will be taking Carol to Bath, a place she has never been before and one she now wants too. I will be putting her needs before any preseason friendly and would not expect to be back to the Bay in time to get to the game and so there will be no match report from me and I’m hoping others at the game will be able to put some match reports on this thread.
Its been a good move by the club arranging home friendly’s against Plymouth, QPR and now Bristol City has it has helped to make the gate a bit more respectable due to a good number of away fans coming to watch. Without them due to the low numbers of home fans who have gone to the games, the teams would have been playing in front of 600 fans or less.
After scoring five goals against Tivy, I’m hoping Billy can get a goal or two against Bristol City to show he can do it playing against better quality league players. Mark Ellis is expected to be fit to play after his bang on the head and that may well mean Robertson playing as the right back.
After watching Eunan O’Kane playing in the midfield I now wonder if he is strong enough to play there, yes he has tidy feet and pick out a good pass, but the best I ever saw him play was out on the right wing and due to his size etc that may be the best place to play him.
I would expect Lathorpe will get a good amount of playing time in this game and I’m looking forward to reading your views on how well he played, as I said before its too early to judge him just yet based on the time he has had out on the pitch so far.

I must say I rather like this winning habit we have aquired. Momentum has carried over from last term and going into a new season seems to have been top of the agenda which will no doubt breed confidence and belief. Whatever, everything that can be done to prepare for another tough challenge is indeed being done and this group of players will be as well prepared as any in recent seasons and they all apear to be hungry for success. A great recipe lets hope it turns out well!
