Ospel and Rolf will love this.....................I've spent this afternoon doing a job for Arsenal F.C. driving Dutch legends Johann Cruyff, Dennis Bergkamp and Robin van Persie.
Collecting them from the bowels of the Emirates - you drive through the secure entrance and they have a "ring road" entirely circumnavigating beneath the stadium - we went to a venue not far from my home where Arsenal have constructed yet another facility for local youth with indoor and outdoor "3G" floodlit pitches and this has been entirely funded by Dennis Bergkamp.
The event was covered live by a Dutch TV company and whilst we were waiting, Bergkamp's wife and children came to sit in my car as the afternoon turned cold. His wife told me that he was taking his coaching badges in Holland this year and wanted to reach the top as a manager or coach.
He still looks fantastically slim and fit as does Cruyff..............although his age tells in his face these days. A group of youngsters from Cruyff's Academy were invited over too from Amsterdam, and my two little ones are now the proud recipients of a little souvenir each courtesy of "RvP" and "The Ice Man" - totally unsolicited and thanks to Mrs Bergkamp who was gobsmacked that an old geyser like me could have such young kids!
