This programme looks awfully familiar, doesn't it? Of course, it's no surprise as it was produced by Duplex Litho from Newton Abbot in the same format as they were doing ours in.
That season's programme was the best TUFC had ever had and better than most that were to follow. I'm sure Merse can tell us more.
I genuinely could not believe the score in the 1978/79 game when it flicked up on the old teleprinter and was so convinced that it should have said 0-2 that I wanted to ring Grandstand to check but couldn't find the number. Oh the joys of waiting for the teleprinter to type up our score as the only way of knowing how our boys had got on away from home.
The Peter Coyne in the Crewe teams was a schoolboy superstar with Man U and scored a hat-trick for England Schoolboys v West Germany on my first ever trip to Wembley in 1974. (Jon)
