Any view or thoughts on todays games No. But I think todays game is worthy of a comment. I thought Austria were unlucky in the end. They went one down in 4 mins and had to fear the worst . Croatia looked solid and well prepared and I thought that Austria could play all night without scoring. But with about 20 mins to go the Austrians woke up. They created good openings and took the game to the team wearing the Leyton Orient strip. But for a bit of luck (and probably a recognised goal scorer) the Austrians should have got something out of the game. On a final note........ the Croatians really played the "sick role" with cynacism. Every time there was a slight knock they were rolling around and playing dead. Shame on you.

Well you have to say the better team won, Holland did not play as well as they have done, but take nothing away from the Russians, they deserved it.
Now for my next bet come on Khan

Yeah, it'll add to the little bit of "each way" I'll be collecting from Paddy Power tomorrow. I'm off to bed now to see what the ole lady's up to.............she panicked at my enthusiasm for "Arse Shavin" earlier and did a runner to the bedroom..............good night!

Well you have to say the better team won, Holland did not play as well as they have done, but take nothing away from the Russians, they deserved it. And Russia have fully justified qualifying for Euro 08 in place of England. There are a real breath of fresh air, fast and accurate passing, inventive, and they sure know how to strike from distance ! And not one poser in sight, just a bunch of talented and enthusiastic youngsters. You feel they haven't been spoilt by the indulgance of money and celebrity status like England players and Ronaldo etc. So well done Russia, and also ironically to Croatia who also knocked us out. Again it was good to watch their brand of fast, attractive football. Another point, it has been good to witness the carnival atmosphere at games with all the colour and chanting etc. I have not notice any Neanderthal obscene chanting, gesturing or agression from the fans. Where does all this leave England ? A lot of catching up to do I feel.

It does seem that the whole event, has so far been trouble free, unless I missed any news. It does beg the question, why when England are involved there is aways problems.
There has been times. when after watching some news on the TV, i felt our fans were not at fault. Is it simply the fact that as England fans have a history of problems, that other fans will always come looking for them. Or is it simply our fans are just trouble and can kick off at will.
