Double winners Buckland Athletic, made their back down the A38 to take on Plymouth Parkway, Parkway needed to win to have any chance of finishing runners up to Buckland.
Parkway started well and got an early breakthrough, when a ball by Glynn Hobbs rather luckily found its way to Sargent who fired low from just inside the penalty box, to give Neil Montadon little chance of saving the shot.
Parkway`s keeper made some fine saves especially a long range effort by Danny Gaze which he somehow got the shot over the bar.
Buckland were level shortly after when a cross from the right was headed back by Danny Lewis, who found Lucas Burgess to fire into the corner of the goal.1-1.
A let off for Buckland, when a header was going in to the net was helped on by another Parkway player who was standing on the line but he was stood in an offside position , and the lines person flag was raised much to the relief of the Bucks faithful supporters.
The second half started well for and Buckland hit the bar and the follow up was cleared off the line. this was a let off, but in the next attack, a shot was cleared off the line but hit m Booth and flew back into the net 1-2
Straight from the kickoff parkway advanced and brought the scores level again through Krac.
Buckland were starting to tire, as this was their 4 th game in 8 days and many players were starting to show signs of a very long but enjoyable season.
The referee blew up for full time and a creditable draw had been achieved in Plymouth.
One game to go,at home to Torpoint 7th May where Buckland will
be presented with the league championship trophy and the players will receive their individual medals, and finally a few drinks will be had after, and let the party begin.!!!!!
WELL DONE TO EVERY BUCKLAND PLAYER WHO HAS PULLED THE BUCKLAND SHIRT ON THIS SEASON, AND THANK YOU.
