The Joe Barlow Challenge
Most people could be forgiven, If they heard the name Joe Barlow and think that he was trouble. These views would be based On what some felt he got up to On another forum.
The question Is was It all Joe's fault and what part did others play In the way they treated him. You only had to view the temp board on .net last week, to see some very unkind remarks made about Joe.
After driving 370 mile In my job, I got back to my work place around 2.30pm, used the works PC to view the forum and check It. There I saw as the newest member Joe Barlow and my first thoughts were dear me, what do I do about this.
I drove home thinking what action If any I should take, do I just delete the account? just ban him and that would be It, but would that have been fair? Joe had not even made one post and therefore had done nothing wrong On this forum.
It would have been very unfair Of me to judge Joe based only on what I thought we did elsewhere and I decided that this forum should only concern Itself with how Its own members behave on the forum. Therefore everyone has to have a clean sheet on here to start with, no matter what their history elsewhere.
To date Joe has been a credit to himself and the forum Is very happy to have him as a member, but I believe there Is a Joe Barlow we have not seen and that Is why I'm throwing down Joe a challenge.
So Joe are you up to It mate, can to really impress all the other members? that Is the question and only you have the answer.
Your challenge Joe Is do with the next game you go too, can you take a book and pen and write down all the events that happen during the game? Can you then put On the forum the Joe Barlow match report, could It be the best match report we have even seen On a forum.
Over to you Joe, you do not have to accept the challenge and no one will think any less Of you If you don't take It, but I bet you could do a report that would show all, that Joe Barlow can be a very top member On any forum.
