Yes I did see the Model Village sign on the way to the ground. I keep meaning to pay a visit to Egypt just down the road.

Yes I did see the Model Village sign on the way to the ground. I keep meaning to pay a visit to Egypt just down the road. I went to Bekonscot as a child and visited it again several years ago after a trip to Wycombe. I reckon I enjoyed it even more the second time. Claims to have been the very first model village and an inspiration for others such as Babbacombe. Apparently, after continually updating scenes and buildings, the decision was made during the 1990s to revert to a 1930s world. Here's a trip on the train:
