Well that was a surprise to no one. Can anyone honestly say that on Saturday morning they didn't expect the evening news to be showing pictures of rioting on the streets of London ?
With sizeable numbers of unwashed socialist rabble descending on the Capital it was the most foregone of foregone conclusions.
With our wet liberal Home Secretary, Kenneth Clarke,barely awake enough to keep his eyes open at the best of times,no one's going to be overly concerned about getting a ticking off. If you get awarded with an ASBO to show off to your mates in recognition of your part in smashing up parts of our capital city so much the better.
We've seen for year after year that there are no realistic deterrents. We know that the person who tries to defend his property from the intruder is just as likely to end up on the wrong side of the law as the miscriant.
We know that from playschool onwards it's a culture of do what you like when you like..& no one had better lift a finger to stop you, and of course, you have to be very very careful how you deal with protesters...too heavy handed (in the view of others) & they'll be seeing that as green light to invade you & help them out.
Why don't these big stores, Banks, hotels, etc wake up & realise that they need to spend a bit of their own money on protecting their property ? Until the State police force throw away their latest set of left wing guidelines, realise that it's not a human right to be allowed to smash as many shop windows as you want, & stop being afraid of criticism should they arrest a gay protester, then property owners need to arrange private security to protect themselves, their customers & their property..at least on the occasions when they know the Left is coming to town.
They've known for weeks if not months that the Masterminds holed up in Lambeth or other parts of the Thameside People's Republic were planning this trouble. They can afford to employ people to do the job required. A glance at our shambolic socialist roads system in this country surely shows them the disdain a state monopoly has for it's customers. A system so bad & slow that our team bus couldn't even get to Northampton on time for an evening kick off!
With Millwall having no game yesterday how hard would it be for the Ritz to make 50 of the New Den regulars doormen for the day ? £50 cash & a good ruck guarnteed with a decent bonus if there's no trouble too close to the hotel. Far,far cheaper than having your affluent guests cowering in fear under tables, while windows crash in on them as Left Wing louts chuck litter bins through the glass. If those customers decide not to come back you're looking at tens of thousands in lost future bookings.
It's time for decent Londoners, & in particular the capitals businessmen to realise it's time to think for themselves rather than expecting this soppy Goverment to help repel the marxist marauders.
