Being a football site, quite often the person with the most votes has written a pretty decent match report. What is unusual this week is that the winner's match report was not from a Torquay match.
Congratulations to Amy with the plaudits this week and her latest Buckland report is detailed below! Possibly does not do her justice as I have not included her selection of colour photographs from the match but she gives us a good take on a local football side that earlier this month beat our side.
All good things must come to an end .Buckland lost for the first time in 21 league and cup games to give A Lynch the first taste of defeat.
Ivybridge were the better team in the early exchanges and should have gone in at the break leading, but with some poor finishing Buckland were let off the hook.
Ivybridge continued to press forward and took a two goal lead
early in the second half, but Buckland never no when to give up
and pulled two goals back very late on.
Marc Revell scored from a header from a cross from the left by Gaze. and Liam Drew scored in the 87 minute where he ghosted in at the far post to score this sent the home fans wild as Buckland have been making a habit of scoring late on .
Ivybridge looked shell shocked and there only looked one winner
The ref blew up and Extra time was required.
Buckland were now in control but against the run of play Ivybridge scored from close in firing high into the net.
Buckland could not score again and Ivybridge held out to send them into a semi final against Plymouth Parkway.
My honest opinion The greens deserved their win and should have put the tie to bed before extra time.
Well done.
Buckland will now have to concentrate on the league, and start by winning again against Cullompton on Saturday.
