There are probably worse places to travel for an away Setanta Shield fixture.
Interestingly enough, Crawley have duplicated the FA cup draw with a home fixture against the mighty Havant & Waterlooville. ;D

Shame. I was hoping for Crawley away as I missed the league trip.
I'm hoping that PB uses this competition as a chance to give the fringe players a run out.

weathergull, I can only think your reason for saying that Is, you want the team only to concentrate on getting promotion. Some would say that our progress In the competition last year, may have played some part, In us falling away at the end Of the season.
This year we have a squad with more depth and should be able to use most Of our players and not let It effect our chances Of promotion.
There Is also the very good reason, that the club needs to enjoy a good cup run, to compensate for our low home gates this season. The club has budgeted On higher gates than we have had, so any extra money coming In has to be a big help with the clubs finances.

There are cup runs and then there are cup runs Dave! I saw part of the final last year, Aldershot at home to I wouldn't imagine there were more than a couple of thousand there. What does the winner actually get?........in the region of five thousand quid isn't it? Let's have a good cup run for sure, but let it be in the FA cup or FA trophy!

weathergull, you are correct about the cash rewards, still would be nice to get to the final again and win this time,It will be our only real chance to play at Wembley this year, seeing we will go up as champions.

You dont go to Wembley for the Setanta Shield - a coin is flipped between the two sides in the final and whoever calls it right plays at home (I think!!)
