many of us older supporters will remember tony kellow who has played for argyle and exeter,sadly passed away today at the paltrey age of 58,found at home bleeding and unconcious,and didnt come round

many of us older supporters will remember tony kellow who has played for argyle and exeter,sadly passed away today at the paltrey age of 58,found at home bleeding and unconcious,and didnt come round Yes very sad news. Same age as me and I played against him a few times as a youngster for Newton Spurs when he was at Penzance and for Devon when he played for Cornwall in the FA County Youth Cup at Home Park, normally marking him as he was on the right wing in those days. A very talented player and it was no surprise to me when he signed as a professional, albeit at a comparatively late age in his mid-twenties. The last I heard he was the licensee of a pub in the Exeter area but that was some time ago. A very young age to go, I think anyway, and such things although inevitable always put the previous weeks football results into perspective
