Buckland made the short journey into the South Hams for this CSWPL fixture. Dartmouth are not having the best of seasons and are just outside the relegation positions, but they will always give you a hard game.
Dartmouth pitch was not in the best of conditions, and was very bumpy and to control the ball was a test in itself.
This turned out to be a very poor performance by the yellows and only a few players came out with any credit, i dont know if it was the conditions but Buckland will have to play much better to retain the championship trophy this season.
Buckland started well and had a lot of the ball but could not score.
Half way through the first half a foul on a Buckland player in the box resulted in a penalty for the Bucks, Lynch blasted the ball high giving the home keeper no chance.
Buckland increased their lead shortly after with Lynch running into the box again wrong footing the keeper to slide the ball just inside the post.
2 - 0 half time
Buckland continued to have chances in the second half but some awful finishing and some good keeping kept the score down.
Buckland made changes with 3 second team players coming on, but none of these could make an impact on the game.
Buckland`s third came when a cross came in from the left with lynch and a defender challanging for the ball in the 6 yard box with the defender heading into his own net, i think Lynch was trying to claim it as his goal but i would put it down as a og.
With time running out Liam Moseley got a goal after at least 6 good attempts which he failed to score.
Moseley scored when he ran into the box and fired high into the net giving the Darts keeper no chance 4 - 0
Buckland saw out time but the players must surely know that they will have to give an improved performance next week at St Blazey.
With other teams not playing due to the poor weather and with Bodmin on Cornwall cup duty, Buckland have increased their lead to 12 pts at the top of the table. but a lot of teams have games in hand.
As a lot of experts have said its better to have the points in the bag than have the games in hand.
My MOM Danny Lewis for his hard working and tackling in the middle of midfield.
