Green will miss out On the next three games as the club has decided not to appeal his red card against Rushden. Looks like the nearest camera was 100 yards away and does not show the incident clearly.
Shame as I feel we will miss him, as he and Sills have started to play well together. Well looks like Benyon should get back into the side and he too had been playing well with Sills.

It's a shame it wasn't caught on camera, as in my opinion we had grounds for an appeal. Having said that, I only saw the incident once and it was the other end of the field, so I could be mistaken.
At least one of the games he misses is the FA Cup game.

The thing is as PB has said, if you put your hands up to someone, no matter how provoked you've been, you haven't really got a leg to stand on. I believe it costs money to appeal and if that appeal is lost then so is the cash. Green will have to just put it down to experience and move on. How the club choose to deal with him internally is a different matter. Maybe a less harsh fine, if that is club policy, would be a better moral booster for Matt Green.

Bite me, you are so correct and a player should know that reacting in anyway leads to the danger Of getting a red card. I do feel Its a shame, but Bucks Is probably correct In saying an appeal would be a waste Of time and I'm sure the club has a policy to fine or punish any player sent Off.
Lest hope he comes back fired up(not too much ;D) and wanting to get his place back up front with Sills as I do feel It was starting to work well.

I didnt see the incident and have only what people say on here and the Herald Express and it seems Matt Greenwas harsh done bye. I agree with everything everyone that an appeal shouldnt happen as it will be likly it wont get over-turned.
I like Matt Green as a player as he is quick and puts in quite a few crosses. He just needs to concentrate in training and not let this get him down to much.

I;m sure he won't Joe and one hopes he learns from his action. Ant was there and said the sending Off was harsh, but players should know, that these days you can't raise your arms up.
He was starting to work well with Sills, but I'm sure he will work hard in training and will be fighting hard to get his place back

Thanks for that about the incident. I am sure he will work hard for a place in the squad again. It is really hard for me to say who SHOULD sart upfront but maybe if we give run outs to everyone will be the best way to do things and may get the best results
