Buckland made the short trip up the m 5 and out towards Exmouth to play Royal Marine at Endurance park, The pitch looked very bumpy and could have done with a good roll. Buckland kicked off going down the slope but against a very strong wind. Buckland had the majority of play and had numerous chances. Lucas Burgess was having his first start for the first team this season and gave a man of the match performance. Half way through the first half a long ball out of defence was kicked, Liam Moseley ran through and collided with the keeper who looked to handled the ball outside his box. The Bucks fans shouted for hand ball but they soon kept quiet when the ball fell to Lucas and he lobbed the ball into an un guarded net with the defender trying to clear the ball. Half time 0-1 There was not much action in the second half and Buckland had numerous chances to make their lead bigger; In the dying minutes Royal Marines struck from about 20 yards out and that effort luckily hit the post for the Buckland Fans; The final score stayed at 0-1 and Buckland went away happy with the 3 points; Buckland continue to be top of the league with a 7 point lead. Hi Amy, thanks for your report, keep them coming. If I had no been so late getting out the door at lunchtime there would have a report on here from Bucklands second team cup game. Went to the Stoke game instead due to the fact we could get there in time for the kick-off
