Of course, Eddie passed away last year.
Terry Adlington was ever-present in goal in 1962/63. Eddie was given a free at the end of 1961/62, but re-signed as a part-timer. After a couple of games, he decided to retire and the club brought in Geoff Barnsley a couple of months later.
Local lad Tommy Holland took over from Eddie, but ended up playing quite a few reserve games at centre-forward after Barnsley came in.
