I'm not commenting on the content of the thread at all. Only the comments made about 'the kid'. Make no mistake, they read as derogatory and in my opinion go a step too far in the context of the thread.
I would have less of an issue if you made your comments in direct reply to a post from Louis, but they weren't. They were a dig, and to claim otherwise is foolish.
Yes we've all got our own charactersitics Merse, but yours are not enhanced by the comments made. Stick to what you do best. I think the forum is a better place for having you, but don't think you can just post whatever you want with no recourse.

I'm not on anyones side here and i have not got involved so far but... everyone under 20 is a kid to me.... anyone over 50 is an old man lol..... maybe we should move on from this debate as i'm sure people are looking at this with glee to see the sort of thing we are debating....

Ok BBC, but do you call everyone over 50 you speak to, 'old man'? This is my point. It is unnecessary 'bitching' from the poster in question. Back on topic, why do you think people aren't posting on the forum?....

...this is out of context now. When i started this thread we had had a short while of lesser posts. Now i feel we are getting a lot more posts.
I do agree with what your saying regarding 'kidgate' but i feel it needs to be put to bed thats all.

Brett started the thread because over 60 members had logged In and very few posts were made, he just wanted to try and encourage a few more members to post on the forum. I have Often felt that the forum needs more members to share their views, only because by doing so, others may want to respond and add their views to any thread that Is running.
My fears have always been, that If the forum does not get enough content On It, then some will just stop even viewing the forum and as you can understand, I really want the forum to be a success story and not just die due to lack Of use.
It Is very clear that both Brett and I should take note Of the members views and most seem to feel, that they want the forum to continue to have the quality posts and not quantity and reading some Of the many excellent threads on here, I fully agree.
The main argument seems to be that Merse referred to Louis as a kid, while I would have preferred him not to have used that term, I do have to agree with his views on what happened to .net. It Is the reason this forum Is here In the first place and why It is growing and I hope will continue to grow.
Like It Or not after Mervo gave up .net, It changed into a forum that In my view went down hill, to many people having power and misusing such power, It treated adults like children and that Is why people like Jim, Jamie, Merse and many others were happy that I set this forum up. Everything done on here Is done In the open, every person Is treated with respect by myself and yes you are treated like adults.
This forum Is a forum in Its own right, not here to compete with .net, only to give fans Of TUFC another place they may like to share their views, we do things In a different way on here, have very few rules and I'm here to help make the forum what you want It to be and I would hope seen as a friend to you all.
Steve I said In my post to you, putting .net In a post will not be deleted on here, I would prefer that It did not happen, but If you started a thread about this forum on .net, you will find It will get deleted and you might get a yellow card, Or even a red card, that Is the difference, Louis in his actions has often acted like a kid, I know the problems I had In the early days Of this forum, older people will see him as a kid, trust me, now I know Brett sees people Of my age as OLD Men, you can call me a kid anytime you want.
