I must confess that I really wish we could get out Of Europe, now I'm not really political Or anything, but I voted to join as I thought It was all just about trade.
Here In Torbay our Mayor wants to move the Torquay War memorial from Princess Gardens, as the gardens built by reclaiming part Of the sea, Is sinking. The same gardens that If he had Is way will some how be stopped from sinking and support a hotel and his new casino, that nobody wants.
Yet the war memorial was put up to remember the brave people Of Torbay who died to make sure our country remained free, yet here we are today giving all the power to make new rules for us to have to live by, to the very Country so many died to stop getting power all those years ago.
We now have to live by thousands Of new laws given to us by Europe and so many are completely mad and not necessary. We have yet another new law coming In by 2011 that will effect every car driver. We will all have to drive around with our headlights on 24/7, yes even in the summer.
It will take more petrol to run your car with Its lights on all the time, yet we are being taxed by this green tax and that green tax, as we are told we need to save our planet, yet now we will have to add even more co2 to our environment as we drive with our lights on.
As some one who lives on the roads, I will agree, there are those that drive down the middle of the motorway, in pouring rain and spray everywhere, with no lights on. I nearly have hit many Of these fools, so I believe having cars that can turn their lights on In low light would be good and really should be the way forward.
There are countries in Europe who at certain times Of the year only get six hours Of day light, but that Is not the case here in the UK, how mad Is It to be using extra fuel driving around In the middle Of the summer with our lights on and we will face fines It we do not have them on.
Its time we took our country back, time we lived by our own rules and laws, soon we will have nothing left Of our free country, just be ruled and controlled by some other country.
