Shock news from Homers Heath that Massey has parted company with Bucks. The club stated that they were worried about the way the club were going and the players didnt seem to be 100% behind the manager. In the games so far he has made wholesale changes and apparently have used about 7 keepers!
I always thought this could happen just didnt expect it so soon so hope that the committee can get it sorted, maybe Martin Rodgers will eventually take over. Anthony Lynch is in temp charge.

I doubt that it came as that much of a shock to club members. Having watched the Parkway defeat at Holmers, alongside a few ex-players and committee men, the rumblings of discontent were apparent then.

I think I'm right in saying that Buckland had always grown organically and promoted from within all the way from kids' football up to winning the Peninsula League. I always wondered how easy it would be for an outsider to come in - particularly a strong-minded individual with a lot of experience at clubs with far different cultures.
I wonder if there was a bit of a feeling that they had to widen their horizons to push on even further up the pyramid. How much further could they push? Will they now go back to the tried and trusted method? Might that not give them just as good a chance of keeping moving forwards as anything else?
What Buckland have achieved up until now is phenomenal and it hasn't been through luck. Let's hope they can get back to doing what they do best.

I think I'm right in saying that Buckland had always grown organically.................. But isn't "grown organically" a euphamism for grown from shit? I'm sure Bucklandgull (who is the Homers Heath groundsman) would have something to say about that Jon ! ;D

Buckland 4 Ivybridge 2 on Tuesday. 0-2 at half-time and it appeared to take Buckland over an hour to suss Ivybridge had an outfield player in goal.
Antony Lynch is caretaker manager with Tom Kelly assisting from the bench.
