After four consecutive promotions have Truro City finally found their level in the Southern league. Making the conference south seemed a formality earlier in the season but things seemed to have changed in recent weeks. A 7-2 defeat at the weekend I believe so whats gone wrong. Has Mr Heaney pulled the plug, has the club run out of money or is it just a mid season blip?

I got a "McCarthy sacked" text today from someone with a keen interest in Cornish football who is also a Wolves supporter. My first reaction was he meant Sean but I still needed to check on Mick's wellbeing.
Two thoughts on this. Either Kevin Heaney - the owner - can't hack losing after continuous success and has a patience deficit. Or Sean Mc wasn't quite the man for the job. Not enough quality non-league players - and too heavy a dollop of old pros - in my estimation.
They'll do well to go for someone with a better knowledge of that level of the game than McCarthy. But I wonder if Lee Hodges will be the sort of "name" which will impress the owner?

They lost again last night and I agree that Uncommitted Ex-pro's on lucrative contracts could be the root cause of the problem. Heaney ain't rich for no reason so he should be able to sort it out, i hope so.
