Looking at the table On BBC sport It shows they have 21 points, so am I correct in thinking, that the table has not been adjusted.?
Four points Is not a lot for them to worry about so early In the season and I do not think It will harm their chances to much Could work the other way and spur them on even more to make up the lost points.

The thing is Dave, they (Mansfield) have another cahrge of playing an ineligble player (O'Connor) hanging over them as well, which is being dealt with by the FA rather than the Conference. There is a very real prospect that later in the week they may have a further points deduction imposed on them, which could make a real difference to their season. From what I've seen of Mansfield on Setanta, I think they look more than capable of challenging for a play off spot - so any points deduction (4 points, or possibly even more) could have a very real impact come the end of the season.

Thanks crispy mate, just got home and not really had chance to read the whole story, you would think that clubs really should know the rules.I have lost count of managers unhappy with Ant, because he docked points or fined clubs for the very same thing.
Ants view Is that a club may only have 20 players to keep check on, while he has over 3000, so If he can make sure every player in every single game should be playing, then clubs really should be able to as well. In saying that as I have not read the story I do not really know the circumstances so will only make a comment once I know the facts.

Unless of course you include the roy mac season when we had about 45 players to keep an eye on!
