Just the small matter of 412 to win.....

Cracking start to the series......like rob said just a matter of 412 to win.......ok you might say 2 days to get them.....ok on paper should a breeze for the Aussies to get them......but the wicket not getting any easier to bat on......Ali and maybe root could be the key here.....anyway am sure there will be some twists and turns.....but sure we can do the job.....barmy army......si

2.7 runs an over, sounds easy when you put it like that. That wicket can on get slower and flatter due to the fact that the groundsman was instructed to make it last five days for corporate/sponsor reasons so you might well have shot yourselves in the foot there!

Well bowled, did enough with the willow, starting to think that either cook has learned a lot recently or the new coach could be just what you needed! Don't get too confident, we have a habit of coming back.

As I savour the result I know how dangerous Australia will be in the next test, after being wounded like this. And looking at the England performance I have to ask: Kevin who?

I did have to smile at that! Quality! The ego has crash landed, like to hear KP's response to England not needing him! Nice one flori!

Would have kp back in team in a shot.....I remember Mike brearley contolling botham back in the 80s.......ok kp got an ego,he the best England batsmen I have seen, would of bought him in instead of balance.......ok there's more issues we all know that......but yeah the Aussies are dangerous.......but so are we.....was a great start to the test series, both teams going hammer and tongue at each other.......si

The media portrayed this as a thrashing but a lot closer than that and with the Aussies below par. I think this sets the series up which will probably now be very hard fought with maybe just one team nicking it. Home advantage now seems to be just as important as that in football...

And no question he is a great batsman but he brings baggage with him. There is no doubt this England team is very united and focused on the task in hand. KP is no shrinking violet and I don't think his disruptive and abrasive manner are a good trade-off against his batting abilities. Bottom line though is who gives a feck? It's all hypothetical; he's not going to get the call and we're 1-0 up!

You should know what happens when you wind up a wounded Aussie! I just hope it doesn't rain mate, curious to see your batting line up!
