Dreadful stuff from England again, but unbelievably the game was a sell out! With muppets like that buying tickets for such a meaningless game is it any wonder nobody at the FA has the balls to change the status quo.

They won`t change the very thing that lines their greedy pockets! Also that was a very poor side England put out, the French were a whole level above in terms of quality and I don`t believe this Cappello fella is any good for England F.C.

Dreadful stuff from England again, but unbelievably the game was a sell out! With muppets like that buying tickets for such a meaningless game is it any wonder nobody at the FA has the balls to change the status quo. It was indeed dreadful. I was given a £30 quid ticket last night from a Moroccan guy at work who had enough of his french colleagues for the day and wanted to watch the game with Northern Ireland instead. It was full with quite committed French fans with a lot of very attractive French women. It was my first ever England game (apart from an under 21 debacle against Croatia at Upton Park when David Platt was in charge) and I have to say that the occasion, setting and the scenery of a top class international game is something very special indeed. It remains this way right up until the moment the game kicks off. England's defence was shakier than Michael J. Fox after a strong coffee, Theo Walcott seems to have more games in the Franz Carr mould (ie quick but shit), Gerrard sulks around midfield, Jagielka was playing out of position and Gareth Barry seemed to have the pace of Billy Kee carrying heavy shopping. Andy Carroll I thought played well. Big, strong, quite skillful and he has a decent technique, Ashley Young did well when he came on and Kieron Gibbs is talented. Now the mentality of English fans. The ones I sat near were supporters of London based Premiership Clubs. The bloke sat next to me, a ginger with a diamond ear-ring, kept shouting abuse at Florent Malouda repeatedly calling him a "c**t" or a "f**king c**t" or a "f**king diving c**t" depending on the severity or desperation of the situation England found themselves in. After he got up and shouted "Malouda, get up you f**king diving c**t" I smiled and asked him "so you're not a Chelsea fan then?". He said "actually mate I am a Chelsea fan". Obviously he is different player when he pulls on a blue adidas Chelsea shirt. Others around were of the same ilk and spent the first half singing "England til I die" out of obligation and searching out French fans to call them "c**ts". Makes you proud to be English. I feel a bit lost at these kind of events. I'm 35 now. I have a semi-decent job in London and I've had a University education of sorts. I think I've done ok. My dad a was a panel beater and mum was a dinner lady. I still consider myself to be working class and I'm proud of them but I despair at what I hear at football matches and no part of me feels at home at Rugby Matches. I've watched football matches in pubs with chavs listening to stuff that makes This is England a trailer and I've been in packed pubs watching England Rugby matches with the tarquins where nobody has uttered a word apart from "well done Johnny". Some people started to leave on 65 minutes last night, then there was a mass exodus on 80 minutes. The French started filming this on their smartphones thinking it was in reaction to us losing to them 0-2 at the time rather than the actual reason of wanting to minimise the pain getting back home on the woefully inadequate London Transport system. To be fair the the Met Police and their horses controlling thousands trying to get into Wembley Park do a very good job.

Things were a lot better under Sven!! I gave up on going to England games a couple of years ago. I'm don't think I'd take a complimentary anymore. Even when we were winning it was just too painful an experience. I can understand what you say about the fans. Just generally unpleasant people to be around. Not young either - a real throw back. You go there thinking you are a normal fan, but find yourself in the minority. I too was suprised that the game sold out....although the TV footage suggested there were plenty of empty seats. I did read however that tickets were available for people who lived locally for a fiver.

I don't agree at all but I'm pretty sure that Capello isn't the man to take us forward.
