Congratulations to the Royal couple to be, about time William, next summer they are to wed, being a loyalist I am over the moon for them and hope that they will be the next King and Queen of England!

I'm sure they're nice enough people but the fawning over them is pretty pathetic as far as i'm concerned. There are probably a lot of folk hoping any extra Bank Holiday falls on their 'sign on day'.

I don't think the Royal family have any authority over the Peoples Republic of Lambeth so it won't affect you!

Who`s fawning over them, I`m just happy they finally got their fingers out and decided to tie the knot? I also don`t get the dig at the unemployed, what`s that about? Do you not like our monarchy?

It wasn't a 'dig' at the unemployed, Aussie - quite the opposite in fact. I was simply making the point that when people are losing their jobs, being told that their kids will incur a debt of £30k if they choose to go to university, public services such as the police are shedding staff, and parts of the country will see unemployment above 10%....it's unlikely to be much consolation that two highly privaleged young people are getting married. As for our royal family, I'm not a huge fan, no. Like most people I admire our queen, but think the rest of them are a bunch of shysters.

Sorry Lambie but it didn`t read that way, don`t think there was enough detail! ;D I don`t understand why some people don`t like the Monarchy, do these same people deny English history or hate their past, maybe it`s because I`m from the outside looking in and just don`t see what some of the folk from the inside see!

I think I it's the fact that we hear so much about them because who they are rather than what they are. The fact that people act like medieval serfs celebrating the Lord of the Manor’s birthday whenever there's an announcement is what really irritates.

Big, big news on the world's media though and surely illustrates what an asset this will be for our tourist trade.

If all the headlines and coverage were around the boost to the tourist industry's coffers then fair enough.

I assume that we are talking about Kevin Wills, but who the hell is Kate?

Kate Middleton, the first person to get her finger into Diana's ring since Dodi al Fayed That`s truely disgusting and to talk about someone who was killed in such a tragic way is beyond belief. I could understand jokes about someone no-one liked ( i.e Saddam Hussian ) because of thier own actions but someone who was innocently killed to be mocked like that is, well just embarrassing!
